RAIDON
I left the coffee shop a few minutes after Sandra and Michie came. I got in my black Lincoln and drove off to my office. I sulked a little when I realized that I did not get to say goodbye to Khione.
I'll call her Khi for short.
I was so lost in thought as I drove myself to work. Her pink lips looked so small that it made them so kissable and her cheeks. f**k. Her cheeks were round and red and I wanted to bite them when she blushed.
I groaned and parked my car once I got to my building. I slipped on my black coat and grabbed my phone. I got into the elevator and pressed the 100th button. I sighed as I checked my schedule.
There's a lot of meetings. f**k.
Once the elevator stops, I got out and all the employees started greeting me. I paid them no mind and walked straight to my office.
"Good morning, sir. Would you like me to bring you some coffee?" Hannah, one of my head managers asked and blocked the door of my office.
I took a quick glance at her and internally gagged. Her hair has too much volume and her curls looked greasy. Her makeup was too thick, her red blouse was opened too much and revealed her fake breasts, and her wrinkled skirt reached the middle of her thighs.
I smiled and said, "No. Thank you. I've already had my coffee."
The best coffee I had so far.
I then walked past her and settled on my seat. I sighed and pressed the the number 3 on my phone.
"Yes, sir?"
"Xavier, please head to my office." I rubbed my temple as I hung up and waited for my assistant.
I opened my laptop and the door opened then closed. I looked up at Xavier who dressed too neatly once again. His suit was too white and I can't bear to watch him spill his salad every lunch time, ruining his suit. I sighed.
"You and me are going shopping one of these days." I said and he just tilted his head at me, confused like a puppy.
"Nevermind that. Would you make sure that my afternoon meetings will be held at an earlier time. I have an errand at 3:00 p.m. and I don't want to ruin it." I said.
"Yes, sir. I shall see to it. By the way, there's been a miscalculation on one of our project's budget and the engineer assigned is asking questions." Xavier said nonchalantly as he noted down what I said to him earlier.
I huffed, "It's that foreman again. Tell the engineer in charge that I will review the budget and give him an answer tomorrow." I clicked the files on my computer and began working.
"Yes, sir. Would that be all for today?" He asked, keeping his notebook in his pocket.
"Yes. That would be all. You can go." I was scanning the files on my laptop as I dismissed Xavier, but before he can close the door, I called him again.
"Yes, sir?"
"Close the blinds in my office, will you? I hate seeing those women staring at me like I'm a piece of meat." I firmly said.
Xavier did as told before leaving my office. I sighed in relief and got back to work. I glanced at the name plate on my table and hummed.
Pinnacle Engineering. My father's pride and sweat was dedicated to this company. He owns Pinnacle and I am an engineer in this company, waiting to be the next CEO. The pressure was unbearable at first, but my mother and father didn't force me to be the next CEO. I was happy about it, but I enjoyed taking the engineering field and thought 'Alright. Fine. Let's be dad's heir and make the company shine even brighter!'.
So now, I'm dad's head engineer and I oversee every projects' budget and timeline. Xavier Stone, my assistant, was my childhood best friend and cousin. He took architecture and decided to be an architect in Pinnacle as well as my assistant.
It was his decision and I didn't want him to cry so I just agreed.
It was hard for me to talk Xavier out of it, but he insisted so bad that his mom begged my dad for it. Of course, my father felt bad and just accepted defeat. During our first weeks in the company, I asked him to call me by my name, but he wanted to call me 'sir' and I just gave in.
Buzz.
Buzz.
Who's calling me now? I'm so f*****g busy, damn it.
Without looking at the caller ID, I answered my phone whilst checking my emails.
"Raidon. Honey. Are you busy? Let's have lunch today."
Fucking Tasha.
Natasha Blackwood. My girlfriend of 5 years. She was a Victoria Secret model and currently, she's working for Vogue. She's not rich. She started as an influencer before she got discovered and was hired to do some modeling. She was my everything. My life. But it all changed when she started hanging out with her coworkers late at night.
I told her that I am a jealous man, but she's f*****g stubborn and still does what she wants.
"Can't. I have meetings today." I replied coldly. I put her on loudspeaker as I typed away on my laptop. I clicked my tongue, annoyed at the problems we were having on one of our projects.
"But you promised."
I sighed, "No. If it's dinner, I'll probably make it."
"I can't. I have a group meeting with the producer and the girls."
Yeah. Right. The girls? More like a blowjob session with the producer.
"Then let's do thin another time. I'm busy." I said and hung up. I was getting annoyed and stressed with the fact that she's trying so hard to hide her secret affair.
Fucking slut.

I finished everything before 3:00 p.m. and I managed to settle all the problems on our projects. Currently, I am in my office and changing into my casual clothes. With my work done, I now have the time to visit the coffee shop.
Xavier was watching me get changed, a brow raised, "'No offense, Rai, but why are you putting so much perfume right now?"
In times when I'm done with work, Xavier addresses me casually. I looked at him and stopped drenching myeslf in perfume.
"I wanted to smell nice." I said nonchalantly.
"Yeah. But you only do that when you're meeting up with a girl. You know? Like that time when you wanted to ask Natasha out and you--"
I cutted him off by throwing my coat at him. He let out a soft groan and glared at me.
"That was before. Right now, there's a girl I want to impress. It's not Natasha, let me tell you." I said, fixing my hair in place.
"That girl is very unlucky then."
"Hey. Whose side are you on, anyway?" I asked, slightly offended.
"The poor girl's." He deadpanned me and left my office.
I sighed, left my office, and headed to the coffee shop. When I got there, I walked inside and Sandra immediately called me over, waving at me. I waved back awkwardly. I looked around and saw Khi cleaning an empty table. I smiled.
"Isn't it just so cold today?" I asked.
She didn't even look at me when she answered, "Yeah. It's kind of chilly today."
"It would be nice if I could cuddle you right now." I teased.
"Well. Now, that's inapp--" She looked up and saw me. Her eyes slowly widened.
"Hey." I smiled at her, wide.
"Hey." She said softly.
"I'd like to order your coffee again. If you don't mind."
"Well, you have to tell that to Sandra. I think she already made your drink." She replied coldly and left.
I sighed and walked up to the counter. I sat at the stool and forced a smile at Sandra who handed me my regular coffee. I took a sip.
"Hey, Sandra. Do you mind adding a bit more cream?" I asked and her eyes widened.
"S-Sure. Let me just... get it for you." She left and I sighed softly.
She didn't even blush or smile at me today.
