Grace The floorboards in the upper hallway of Venom creaked much more than the ones in Kent’s house, and the room felt empty. Since we had been training heavily for weeks now, I sometimes stayed the night in the small upstairs bedroom I used to occupy before Kent moved me into his personal space. Tonight, sleep wouldn't come. My muscles ached from the training drills, and my mind was buzzing with the look Rook had given me earlier in the warehouse.
