đź“– Chapter 3: Between Fear and Obsession

610 Words
As soon as Yuna stepped out of the restaurant, her friends followed, noticing her flushed face and shaky breath. "What happened?" one asked. "Why is your face red? You look nervous. Did something happen? Did Yonan bother you? Should we call the police?" Yuna shook her head, her voice barely a whisper. "N–No, nothing happened... really... I just... ate too much. My stomach is upset, that’s all." Her friends exchanged glances. It was hard to believe, but to them, it made sense. After all, someone like Yonan—the nation’s idol—would never be interested in a simple village girl. Sure, Yuna was beautiful, but her clothes were plain, and her aura humble. Nothing about her screamed "celebrity material." So they nodded, brushing it off. “Maybe it’s just a little stomach pain,” one said. But Yuna... she knew the truth. Her mind was stuck in that moment. His touch. His voice. The way he leaned in and whispered, “Your number?” She had never been so close to a man before. It was terrifying… yet thrilling. Later that night, Yuna stayed at her friend’s house in the city. She planned to return to her quiet village the next morning. But sleep never came. Not for her… And definitely not for Yonan. --- Yonan stared at the ceiling of his hotel room, restless. He had never been rejected. Never. When he asked for something, he got it. Especially women. He expected Yuna to blush, maybe cry, maybe confess her love immediately. But instead, she ran away from him. His pride was shattered. His obsession deepened. A dark thought crept into his mind—"If I can’t have her… should I take her?" But something inside him pulled back. His chest ached. His heart… it was doing something strange. It hurt. "Why do I feel this way? Why does my heart race when I remember her eyes?" It was madness. He had met hundreds of women. Dated models. Broken hearts without remorse. But now, his thoughts were trapped… by a village girl. He didn’t sleep. He didn’t eat. He could only see her. Her fear… her softness… her refusal. He was slipping. Then—a knock on his door. "Yonan!" He opened it to see his mother, her eyes blazing with fury. "What was that at the party? You were singing—yes—but your eyes were glued to that girl! What were you thinking? You embarrassed yourself!" Yonan’s expression didn’t change. "Maybe… I found something better than fame." "Better than fame?!" she snapped. "You're being foolish! That girl—who is she? Why did you let yourself look so weak?" "Mother, you’ve never cared about the women I’ve slept with. So why now?" "Because I know you, Yonan," she said. "That girl is different. If she weren’t, you wouldn’t be acting like this. The media’s already buzzing. This could ruin your career." Yonan’s voice was cold now. "Get out, Mother. I need rest." "Your father will hear about this," she warned. "I don’t care." She stormed off, leaving him alone… again. But he didn’t care. He only wanted Yuna. He tried to contact her. He called her friends. He wanted to know if she was single… if she thought about him. But she had disappeared. Gone back to her village. No phone. No social media. No way to reach her. "Where does she live?" he asked one of her friends. The girl hesitated. "Why would someone like you care about a girl like her?" "Just tell me." He was determined. This was no longer curiosity. This was obsession. And it was just getting started.
