I lost track of time as I sat there, drowning in the sorrow of my brother's betrayal. The liquor had already done its work. I knew I was beyond drunk. I looked up and saw Miles still rooted in his seat, typing away at something on his phone. Not only that, but I felt hands on my shoulder. I turned to see Macy in a beautiful red dress. She smiled at me, and I was confused. When did she get here? “Macy? What are you doing here?” “I’m here for you, Derick. I missed you so much.” That voice didn’t sound like Macy’s, I thought. And Macy’s hair color is black, but the Macy in front of me was blonde. I blinked my eyes, maybe they were deceiving me. “How did you get here?” I asked in my drunk voice. I stared at her face, and she smiled lovingly at me. My heart fluttered at her actions.
