I woke up two hours later, and Macy was still unconscious, just like before. I leaned closer to her on the bed, so close I could feel her breath on my face. My hands moved to her face, gently pushing back some strands of hair that had fallen and covered part of her face. She looked so beautiful. Mom had cleaned her up earlier, after the doctor left, and helped change her clothes into my T-shirt and some sweatpants so she could sleep comfortably.
