Sakura I tossed the backpack on my shoulders and trudged through the muddy water. By the time I reached the park, my clothes were soaked, and I was shivering from the cold. I made my way to the outskirts of the woods and turned my head left to toward our cottage, where both my mother and I lived. I had completely drifted into my thoughts of bidding farewell when, out of nowhere, I heard loud shouting drawing nearer to me. I scanned the area until I saw three figures sprinting towards me. “Oh, s**t!” With fear in my voice, I saw Kai and three of his friends chasing me, about 20 meters behind, giving me a small head start before catching up. In the pouring rain, I dashed through the woods, hurdling over bushes, logs, and branches, my breath forming clouds in front of me. Evil was after me.
