"And the Idol thing?" Toshiro chimed in from the row behind, his voice smooth but curious. "Going public with the 'no' to the empire puts a lot of pressure on the 'yes' to the stage. You’ve given yourself zero room for error."
Shisei finally turned, her gaze landing on Toshiro with a chilling intensity. "I don't need room for error. I only need a microphone." She then looked back at Saito, her eyes narrowing. "And if you ever call me 'Princess' again, now that I’ve officially abdicated, I will make sure your 'Reality Check' score is the least of your worries."
Saito held up his hands in surrender, a smirk playing on his lips. "Understood. No more Princess. Just Shisei, the girl who burned down a kingdom for a song."
