AMBER I cracked one eye open as the sound of bleating drifted through the window. Was I dreaming about goats now? I blinked a few times and sat up in bed, still unsure if the sound was real or part of my half-conscious state. When I heard it again, clearer this time, curiosity pushed me to the window. “Is that… a baby goat?” In my pajamas, I practically teleported into the backyard.
