“You let her go!” Elise blasted.
“Yeah, Alex, haven’t we agreed Evans is a douchebag?” I crossed my arms.
“I couldn’t stop him from taking his daughter besides, she wanted to go.”
“For all we know he just stuck her back at the institute. I’ll go check,” Elise said.
Alex nodded. “Check in on Lyle about Xena. Evan’s looking for her too.”
“What? Why?”
What does Xena know? Every time she was around Alex she alluded to knowing something very important. I guess I got in the way sometimes but honestly, I didn’t do anything. Alex always chased me. He looked at me with his impressive blue eyes but they always carried hunger and passion like he was right now.
I backed up. “What?”
