“What was that?” Tristan asked.
We stopped and stared at each other. Stormy’s scent disappeared at the river. She must have jumped in. She hadn’t had her wolf long enough to know how to handle these currents. If something happens to her I would never forgive myself.
“It’s not her it’s another girl,” I said.
There were scents everywhere, male and female. The different scents scrambled my wolf's senses. This was the one time I needed him to work with me.
Tristan and I had no choice but to jump into the water. It was not long until we discovered a group of wolves roaming around. Stormy was nowhere to be seen. I noticed two guards handling Lyle.
“Where’s Stormy?” I demanded.
Lyle raised his head but he was hit in the back of the head to stop him from talking.
