When Toby and Zan didn't return to dinner, Danny and I linked them, and found out they were eating alone tonight. And Toby told us about our mate's strange behavior towards our father, who returned not long after, and we noticed him glaring at Alpha Caleb on and off.
''Dad, what's going on with you and Zan?'' I linked him during dessert, ''Why are you watching Caleb?''
''Mind your own business.'' He shot back.
''My mate is my business.'' I retorted, but he cut the link.
I growled internally. I couldn't wait to be King, and not have anyone to answer to.
