I looked down at my mate, her cheeks flushed with anger, and I quickly pulled her into my arms.
''Please don't think you can't come to us,'' I pleaded, and breathed in her scent. ''You can always rely on us. I know we don't really know each other yet, but we already care about you so much, we'll take care of you. I know you're not used to that, but we will.''
She nodded, but didn't say anything, before stepping back and looking down.
''Let's go eat,'' I touched her face.
As we walked out of the room, Kit was walking into the pack house, and he looked at me suspiciously, ''Hey, what were you two doing alone in a room?''
I laughed and rolled my eyes, ''She's my mate too,'' I reminded him ''I can be alone with her whenever I want. Why don't you guys go up, and I'll be right behind.''
