The Moon Temple had no windows. No sunlight had touched its inner chamber for centuries. Twelve stone thrones stood in a perfect circle beneath a silver dome, each occupied by a hooded elder whose face remained hidden in shadow. They were the Moon Council. To the kingdoms, they were the voices of the Moon Goddess. To kings, they were untouchable. To history… They were its authors. One by one, the elders arrived in silence until the final throne was filled. No greetings were exchanged. No prayers were offered.
