Chapter 20

Chapter 20 Ivan is, as expected, showing off his powers, using his both air and water to create a magnificent view. Shawn is watching him intently, his eyes twinkling as he watches Ivan does his magic. I scoff, thinking that it's ridiculous. Most of them watching Ivan, even Brent! Jelai and Mia are watching as well, mouth agape and I roll my eyes at them. Yes, Ivan's power is cool and all, but I'm not interested. I have my own powers. I can turn water into an ice, which he cannot do. He can manipulate wind, but that's all. There's nothing great about that. "Don't like the show, huh?" A person asks behind me that makes me jump. I put my palm on my chest and whip my head over my shoulder, looking at the culprit. It's Beige, whose power is logic and nature manipulator. I nod at him, finding it amused that he's not watching Ivan's mini show of fame. "As much as I'm trying to convince myself that he's just doing this to entertain us... I really can't use my power because of his dumbness. It's affecting me." I chuckle, shaking my head. That makes him smirk, showing a deep dimple on his left cheek. "You're being mean," I say, my voice playful, wiggling my brows at him. "I can't think rationally, I swear." He grins, bumping my shoulder. "Want to take a walk and leave these... humans for a while. We're not going to go far away, though." "Sure," I immediately say, finding comfort by his presence. I feel like he and I would make a great team. "I'm bored anyways. I don't like the show. It's better to watch out than to watch him. It's hurting my eyes." He laughs lightly and we both start walking away. I'm sure Brent and Shawn would be too busy to even know I just walked away. Another guy, whose name is Albert, joins us and both he and Beige high-five each other and Albert gives me a grin. I smile back at him. Cooper and Giovanni notice and join us to our mini walk. I find joy and comfort, I'm at ease, when I'm with them right now. They're all cheerful and great and awesome. Cooper and Beige are interacting really well, and they're talking about abnormal stuffs. I can't understand them. I try to join their conversation, but to no avail, I can't rack any smart things to say or to discuss with them, so I let them be. Albert, Giovanni and I just goof around, pushing each other as we talk about Ivan. When we reach the biggest tree I've ever seen, its branches don't have leaves at all, and the tree looks pretty dark, like a hive of the demons. But still, we stay there, my eyes trailing to the left and right, trying to be cautious and all. Looking at a familiar wolf, Browdie comes running into me and when he reaches me, he jumps up and we both fall down on the ground, all of them are watching us with grins tugged on their lips. Browdie gives me a lick on the cheek and I laugh out loud, massaging his head, feeling his soft brown furs. Now do I just realize that Browdie was missing. I was too caught up over Ivan and Shawn and Brent that I didn't notice Browdie was not with us. My mind flashes the image of Shawn, which makes me mad immediately. How could he let Browdie wander alone? Browdie keeps licking my face and my heart, once again, feels light from the familiar attention he's giving me. Then he growls suddenly, his yellow eyes watching the creatures that are staring at us with bloodlust in their eyes. All of us become alert, posing a fighting stance as we watch the creatures with alertness. These creatures we're fighting are getting creepier and creepier. Now, they consist of a headless warrior, a scorpion with a head of spider, a lizard that can stand up. They are a lot, and we're just only five. Browdie starts barking, bending a bit, looking like he's ready to attack. Beige moves his feet a bit, his fingers twisting, as his eyes focus on the creatures. When he looks at me, I get a glimpse of what he's planning to do; put the vines all around the creatures' feet and I let him know through mind link to put the vine tighter around them. At first, he seems pretty shock than I can send message inside his head, but he lets it slide for a while and gives me an approving nod. Then they all come - Shawn, Brent, Jelai, Mia, Ivan, London and Leo, posing a fighting stance. They immediately see me and there's a bright idea pop up into my head. I take a look around me and see that there are large, human-size rocks around me and I smirk to myself. Bending down a little, opening my palms and fingers apart a bit, my hands start to glow pink and one of the boulders explode, dividing into a mini rocks. Shawn's eyes go wide, as well as the others' when they see me using my other power. With one move, Beige moves around and clasps his hands, and then the creatures got tangled with each other because of the sudden vine around them. That's when my hands fly in front of me and the rocks start flying into them. The creatures groan in pain. Giovanni raises his hands in the air and points his index finger to the direction of the creatures, and then it starts raining small meteorites, hitting the monsters. I notice that they are becoming more and more, so I keep using my other power to throw; not much, but helpful. Albert opens his palm and blue fires dances on top of his palm, then he blows them into the direction of the creatures and it becomes a huge fire. Then the melee creatures start to lunge at us and my feet move to its own accord, like it has its own brain, and start running towards them. I can hear Shawn at the background shouting at me but I can't catch what he's saying, too busy focusing on the monster in front of me to listen to what he's saying. Blazing fire starts to cover the area, thanks to Cole and the sound of the monsters cry and misery is a pleasant sound to my ears. Snatching the bracelet that Shawn gave me earlier, once it's in my palms, the bracelet becomes a deadly spear and I stab the monster into his stomach and his stinking blood pours out of his belly and I stare in disgust, taking off the spear off of him since I don't want to get my spear dirty. As I turn around, a faceless creature is already lunging at me, my eyes widening and then he comes. Brent uses his hand in a fist, glowing pink bright, to punch the monster in the face and the monster flies off of us and I stare at Brent in shock, then he gives me a one-sided smirk and I roll my eyes at him playfully. Back to back, five monsters are around us and both Brent and I watch them cautiously, observing every move they make, and once they start to lunge, I jump in a twist and use my foot to attack the faceless creature on the face, and when my foot collides with his face, he falls down on the ground and my spear flies to the other creature's chest, making him fall down. Brent catches my wrist and tugs me closer, and I turn to glare at him, only to find out that he just saved me from getting stabbed by the monster who has a sword. I kick him in the face and the monster groan in pain and Brent takes over and uses his hands to punch the monster repeatedly. He's awesome. Another monster lunges at me, showing his pointy and deathly claws and I stare at him deep into and eyes. I don't know how I did it, even I, I surprise myself. Obey, I command and the monster stops from throwing his large body at me and tilts his head to the side, staring at me curiously. Obey, I repeat again and the monster kneels down in front of me, hanging his head low. Brent stares at me with a wide smile, his green eyes twinkling bright. Then he sends a message inside my head: You're f*****g awesome! You can now do mind controlling! I smirk at him and nod. My eyes scan the area; Browdie is ripping a creature's throat, tearing him apart, limb by limp, and Shawn, he's using his famous big sword to kill and kill and kill and I'm surprised to see that he just carries the big sword without putting much effort, his muscles flexing sexily and I drown my eyes in the view of him. I gulp, thinking how sexy he is, to see him fighting without even having a sweat forming on his forehead, or any part of his body. He kills creatures, having no mercy at all, and even though the ground is now full of blood, Shawn can make everything alright and appear perfect. You've got to be f*****g kidding me, I tell myself. I'm so caught up with Shawn that I haven't noticed that I was just staring at him with my mouth practically watering. I shake my head, clearing my thoughts and start to run towards him, going to help him. When I reach him, Shawn puts his free hand around me and my cheeks flush from the action, but he just swings me and my feet fly in the air and collide with the monster's neck, which makes me brown. Did he just f*****g use me as a weapon? Glaring at him, he tweaks my nose and smirks smugly at me. I arch a brow at him and use my mind power to show him a distracting image; him and Ivan kissing. I don't know why, but to see him glaring and growling at me, it's really fun to tease him. He advances, taking slow steps, now that he has killed a lot of creatures, and there are no creatures anymore, Shawn starts lunging himself at me and I run, laughing out loud. Shawn is a fast runner, and he catches me immediately. When I turn to look into his eyes, I catch a glimpse of what he's thinking. I can practically hear him screaming inside his head. But what shocks me is his words: I don't want to kiss Ivan! I don't even want Ivan at all! I want to f*****g kiss you! I want to f*****g have you, Dylan!
