Chapter 4

I decided to go to my study it was the only place where I could find my sanity , plus from there I could clearly see the woman who was like a lioness with pride in a jungle, the same woman who turned out to be my Mate.

Why didn't she show up years back? why was she showing up now? why wasn't she here when I needed her?. All these were questions running in my mind. Questions that I didn't have but needed answers to.

I was bethroted to someone now. After years of heartbreak while searching for her so bad but ended up failing, miserably. I made an oath to my grandmother that I would marry the girl of her choice. She was the one in my heart now. I can't let my stupid mate ruin everything for, when she was the one who chose to hide herself, and damn she did a great job.

All I have to do is make sure that not even a single soul finds out that she is my mate then reject her and move on.

I glanced outside she pacing up and down as if she was fretting about something, the rain is falling , she's going to catch a cold and yet she still doesn't want to come and apologise.

Such a stubborn girl. But anyways she was quite beautiful so watching her was kind of worth it. Wait . did I just say the littke she-wolf infront of me was beautiful. Well it's probably because my stupid mind was in it's wildest thoughts.

I was enjoying the view, when I suddenly scented something familiar. Something female. Followed by

"Alpha" I sighed sofly. Candy. This was none other than Candy my fiancee. What could she possibly want at this hour.

"What is it?" I said, my back still facing her.

"It's getting late, and I couldn't stay up any longer my Alpha" she said

I turned around, usually I would've beckoned her to come near me, except for today. I found fraustrating that she even came to my study in the first place.

"I'm going to be quite busy tonight" I said in a soft tone. She made her way towards me and ran her palms up and over my torso and chest.

"It's late let's go to bed" she said biting on her bottom lip which normally I would find seductive and would turn me on. But today, unexpectantly it was exaparating.

"I'm sorry my love, tonight isn't perfect timing , another time, just not tonight. I want to be alone"

'My love' a sweet name that couples which are in love with each other address one another as , a name I've never said to her. But in order to get rid of her I had to be gentle, something which wasn't in my genes, so as to not raise any suspicions.

And because of that sweet name I was sure her heart was beaming with happiness. And she would soon be out of my sight.

She ran her fingers down to my member, which was queasy.

"Are you sure my Alpha , I've been dying to scream your name again" she whinned.

I badly wanted to growl the command to leave at the little thing before me but I couldn't do that to her. She would get suspicious. The less people knew that I had found a my true mate , the better.

She rubbed her c**t against my member, this was one of the few things I once found alluring, where once I would have hardened in a moment, but now it felt wrong.

"Yes Candy I'm sure. Tomorrow. Not tonight".

A lie. But one I was willing to tell if it setting me from Candy tonight.

She kissed my cheek and whispered "I love you"

I smiled and said "I love you too"

Another lie which also I didn't mind telling to get her out of here

She smiled and left.

"Pheeew, it took long enough" I said after she closed the door.

I looked outside hoping to clear up my mind. But all that changed when I saw my mate laying down. My eyes widened at the scene did she...faint.I thought to myself.

I quickly opened the door and ran down the stairs, the stairs which felt like someone had increased them since it was taking forever to get downstairs.

As soon as I reached there I opened the door and raced to her, and to my horror she was bleeding profusely. I remember myself telling her to stay where she was, but no she came here.

I looked around and saw that she hit a rock with her forehead. I carried to my car and took her to the one person whom I could trust. Nathalie, my older sister.

As I was driving I kept taking glances at her. As werewolves we are very different from humans, a simple cut from humans takes two to three days to heal but us werewolves it takes a few minutes to heal.

My mate here is a different kind wolf her wound was showing no sign of healing, I mean sure the wound was kind of deep but there had to some sign, but believe there was none.

She is a f*****g werewolve for Pete's sake. Now I was starting to fret I didn't want to be blamed for hurting my mate. Sure no one would know but the Moon goddess would know.

As soon as I reached the hospital I carried her in my arms and kept shouting for Nathalie.

Seeing the blood coming out of the unconscious woman in my arms a lot of doctors offered help but I rudely declined them.

"Nathalie!!" I kept shouting as made my to the receptionist

"Good evening Alpha how..." I cut the little thing off I was in no mood of greetings besides what was good about this night anyway

"Get my sister here this instant!!' I bawled

The little lady looked at me, beffudled. Is she new here? .

"NOW!!"

"You know there's this new thing called a phone it's used to call people , you could've just called me instead of causingba scene"

"Well I was in a hurry soo"

"And there's also this thing that werewolves use to communicate, it's called a mindlink meaning I can hear you from miles away"

"Blah blah blah blah. Sorry for causing havoc in your hospital now can you help me here"

Nathalie looked at the girl in my arms and smiled. While I on the other hand rolled my eyes, What was so funny about an injured person.

"Guys I need a strecher..."

"Take her to mom's room I stopped her from completingbher sentence. She looked at me surprised and smiling.

"Whaat" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"We still need a strecher though"

"I don't mind carrying her and plus I can run faster than a strecher" I said making my way to the VVIP room in the whole hospital. My late mother's room.

She had died in that room and it was her favorite room. From that room you could see the whole of my teritory, it was a beautiful view. Since the day she died no one was ever allowed in that room. Nit even close relatives.

I lay her gently on the bed and stared at her "please don't die"

"hmmm I hate to spoil the moment but you need to get out" Nathalie said and I gave her a cold glare.

"Now Trenton" And I reluctantly got out.
