“Not here,” she said. As she pulled away, she walked back to the chair where she was previously sitting and sat down. I wanted to pursue her, but she was right. This was neither the time nor the place. We would have lots of time later. I’ll wait until I get my apartment, then I’ll put the moves on her. We finished our wine and decided to call it a night. We ascended the stairs together. The guest room was the first door on the right. I said goodnight and entered the room. The bathroom door was adjacent to the night table. I stripped down, entered the bathroom and took a shower. Then I got into bed and went to sleep. *** I was awakened the next morning with someone knocking on the door.
