HOLDING BACK ~ALEXANDER STONE~ As I approached the source of the noise, Grant and Lexa following closely behind, I hesitated at the door to the guest room. With a quick turn of the key, I unlocked it and swung the door open. “Aunt Nadine” I called out my aunt's name, only to find her kneeling in front of a shattered vase. My attention quickly shifted to the figure lying on the bed beside her. When had she arrived last night, and who was this stranger in her bed? Before I could voice my confusion, Grant beat me to it, asking the question that lingered in all of our minds. Aunt Nadine hesitated for a moment before finally responding, claiming that he was just a friend from the bar. The guy on the bed offered a tentative greeting, clearly embarrassed by the situation.
