BAILED OUT The meeting with Port Airline had consumed most of Alexander's day, and now he found himself slumped in the backseat of his car, tie loosened, hair tousled, eyes closed. Exhaustion hung heavily over him like a dark cloud. He hadn’t anticipated the stubbornness of the company representatives, and yet, through a handful of clever strategies, he had managed to secure the deal. "It’s been a long day, sir, hasn’t it?" Collin's voice cut through the silence, his gaze catching Alexander’s through the mirror. “Yeah… yeah, it has,” Alexander murmured, his mind wandering. What he truly craved was not just a hot meal or a restful night; he yearned for a warm body beside him. His thoughts drifted to Lexa. What was she doing now? Had she eaten? Taken a bath? Was she waiting for him?
