Chapter 14

1020 Words
The next morning, I woke up in a stranger's bed. When I sniffed to find out from whom the bed was, It smelled like Marnik. When my eyes were wide open, I saw Marnik sitting at the end of the bed. 'What happened?' I asked. 'I should ask you what happened. You just fainted in front of me.' Trying to remember what happened, I scratched my head. Then everything came back at once and I started to feel dizzy again. Even when I lay down in the bed, I felt my head spin. Manik came over and tried to keep me from fainting and it worked. 'Hey don't leave me again!' Marnik yelled. He held my face in his hands and tried to keep on shaking me. Still not knowing that I was actually not dizzy anymore. 'Hey stop! I am fine!' I said. He got startled and let me go. 'I thought you were still dizzy.' 'I was. Not anymore.' He just got up from the place where he was on the bed and hugged me. This time he kept hugging me and didn't kiss me. As he knew he had to be careful. Maybe Ava told Sky not to do it anymore. Otherwise, they will both keep losing parts of their memory. I was also scared that he would forget again, but I hoped Marnik was going to be fine. Just in case he wanted to try to do something else, I stopped hugging him. 'Hey, can you stay a little longer?' He asked. I didn't want to take the risk and said, "No sorry, You will lose your memory." 'What do you mean?' He asked. I was thinking about whether I should tell him about the rules of the curse again. Since he forgot them. Ava said, "You better tell him, or he will keep trying to mate you and it will end badly. I promise you that." I wanted to cry, but kept strong and didn't show any sadness on my face. No tears were allowed to fall. I started talking with a strong voice. 'Marnik, there come rules with the black and white curse. One rule is, if you keep trying to mate me, then you can lose your memories of the curse. If you are the wrong mate, you will die if you could make the mating happen.' Marnik looked in surprise, and he said, "so I am losing my memory of the curse without knowing it?" 'Indeed, so you have to keep strong and stop trying to mate me, or it will get worse.' 'I try to promise you that.' Marnik said. Still, it wasn't a promise, but he would try and that was something. 'I have to go now. I faint because Ava kept throwing information at me, so I am fine.' I said. 'OK, I let you go then. We talk later.' I almost forgot I had to ask my mother about the place in the forest. I went downstairs and my mother was in the kitchen making breakfast for everyone. Since school was done, and it was vacation, she didn't do anything else. Also, I made up my mind about going to Spain. I would stay home here. My parents could go and avoid the drama that would come. I knew when my parents were gone Ellen would try everything to make more and more drama. I will spend today with Ivan, so there will be more drama. Now I would first ask my mom about the place in the forest where Elf the elf lives. 'Mom, I have a question, so I can see a place in the woods that nobody else can see.' 'What did you just say?' She whispered to me. Why did she whisper? 'It's the secret place of the elves. Only one wolf can see the place in particular, and that is the werewolf queen.' 'What! That means that I am the werewolf queen.' I screamed out loud. 'Sssst not so loud! Everyone can hear you.' My mom whispered angrily. I just looked around in case someone had heard me, but there was no one. 'Mom, we are alone. Still, they could hear you from a mile away.' 'It's better to keep it a secret for now. Promise me you won't tell anyone.' 'I won't. I promise.' I whispered to her. On my way back, Ava asked me why I had to be so careful. 'It's very dangerous because you are a stronger person than anyone else. You can even possess magic if you have the will to learn it.' 'Really. How can I use magic? I am a wolf.' 'The magic part was blocked when the witch put the curse on me and my soulmate.' Ava said. 'I didn't know about that. When were you going to tell me?' I got a bit confused and just closed the link with Ava for a bit. A while later, I went to Ivan's room to tell him the rules of the curse. Since he had not tried to mate me yet, he didn't lose anything of his memory. He was safe now because he still knew all the details about the curse. That was already one thing less to deal with. Since I couldn't stress too much. If werewolves stress too much, they could die of it sooner than humans. That's a disadvantage of being a werewolf. Ivan and I were walking in the forest. Out of nowhere, we heard gun shots. 'What is going on?' We changed in our wolves and tried to run as fast as we could home. Then another gunshot followed really close by. Ivan got hit. I looked behind me and I felt my body break down in a thousand pieces. My eyes were wide open when I woke up. Bathing in sweat, I tried to get my heart rate under control. It was just a dream, I tried telling myself, but what if something was going to happen and that was a vision? I didn't know. It felt just like a bad sign and that made my heart rate faster.
