Chapter 68 - Back To Black

3503 Words

~Maeve~   Even when my entire life had been falling apart, my relationships were going either nowhere or everywhere, my art stayed. I guess it could be one of the many reasons why I love it so much; you get to paint whatever you want, however you want it and it’s never going to really go away unless of course, someone burns it down, tears it apart and steps a booted foot in your taut canvas. It’s completely in your control and as of late, there is a feeling that it’s the only thing in my life that I can even attempt to harness. Right before holidays, I had finally submitted my painting for review and then a week later on New Year’s Eve, I got my message of approval. I wasn’t really holding my breath for it, though. I knew I’d be selected because the painting was hands down my best work.
