Chapter 7

" We just got back together and now I may lose you. I may lose you for good." Kingston said sounding sad. " Maybe we should ask her. I mean what was the whole point of not for us to be together finally?" Micheal asked him. " Let's take some time to just be together for a bit. Then we can go ask her. I just want to hold you for a bit." Kingston said. Micheal gave him a bright smile. " I would love that." They found a log lying down on the forest floor. It was covered in moss. They seated themselves down on it and came together. Arms circling the other as their mouths also met. Kisses were exchanged as they sat there making out. After spending an hour outside with each other they made their way back. Once more inside the cabin, they found the Goddess. She turned around when they entered as she was at the kitchen sink. Her face was a mask not giving away any of her feelings. " We had a few questions for you," Micheal said crossing his arms in front of him. " I figured you would have more to ask." She stated. " Why do you think this point in time is what will save our kind and bring back embracing your mate?" " It was a point that I had foreseen that could help." She said simply. " But this was not where this problem started? How far back was it that this started?" Kingston asked her. She tilted her head to the left. Her eyes looked up in a deep thought. As she took a moment to ponder her thoughts. Her face then took a solemn look. "I feel like if we wanted to go to when I noticed that more were turning against their fated mates then we would have to go back to the beginning of the new world. This problem was not one til around the time of the printing press." She said. " No that's not right." She paused and went into a deeper thought. " No. The first one that seemed to go off track was the start of cities. It seemed like the move to become more attuned to your human nature took over. While you all had embraced both sides of your nature." She said and frowned. " Maybe we should try going back to the first couple to be pulled apart?" Micheal offered. " I have thought of that. But too far back in time like that and it's hard for me to control the time slip. My sister though who over see's time can step in. " She explained. It seemed like a no-brainer to Kingston. If they wanted to solve this issue then it was best to nip it in the bud at the beginning. " Ok so then have her help us make it to that era." He stated to her. " Let me contact her and see." She said." While you wait feel free to get in a nap. You may need it."
