Chapter 2

Lizzy's POV:

Well, the day has finally come. Xavier, Jacob, and I are turning 18 today. We all get to find our mates. Mom planned this big party with Jake's mom, Bella, for us. We told them it's no big deal, but they said "you only turn 18 once and you can finally find your mate. We are having a party and inviting some of our allies to help with the process." I can't wait for the party. I was thinking about going shopping to find a dress and I thought Izzy would want to join me.

I call Izzy and she doesn't answer. A few minutes later, she called me back.

"Hey, Liz, what's up?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping for a cute and sexy dress for the party?"

"Hell yes! I'll meet you by your truck in 10."

She hangs up and I get on a pair of black stretch pants and a blue, green, and yellow tie-dyed crop top with my white converse and head down to the truck.

***10 Minutes Later***

"Hey, Iz. You ready to go?"

"Yep. Let's go get a sexy dress for you to rock at the party."

"Ok. But not too sexy. If I find my mate, I don't want him to think I'm a slut or a whore."

"Why would he? You haven't slept with anyone yet. And if he does I'll kick his f*****g ass." Yep, that is the Izzy I know and love. She will kill anybody who hurts me. We hop in the truck and I drive out of the pack territory to the mall.

We made it to the mall and head to the dress shop. I don't want to spend too much money but my mom said she put $20,000 in my bank account so I can get Izzy and me and I quote a 'sexy head, turning dress'. I told her not to worry about it but dad insisted I spend at least some of it. I found this beautiful silver dress. It is a strapless knee-length dress with an open back and a sweetheart neckline. The bodice of the dress has little heart-shaped diamonds sprinkled all over it and the skirt has diamonds in all shapes sprinkled on it to make it sparkle at any angle under the light. The dress is $4,750 including the custom bling. Izzy's dress is a two-piece baby blue dress with gold accents. The bodice resembles a corset and the skirt resembles the bottom of a ball gown. The bodice has gold flowers with heart-shaped sapphires in the middle of the flowers. The gold flowers come down the bodice and connect to the skirt, which connects to the rest of the flowers on the skirt. The sapphires are sprinkled all over the layers of the tulle. Her dress was custom made so it is a lot more. It comes at about $6,575. We ordered the dresses and went to the shoe store to get heels. I got cute silver heels with diamonds on them and Izzy got cute gold heels with sapphires on them. Our total for the shoes was roughly $500. Izzy insisted we go to Victoria's Secret to get some sexy lingerie for under the dresses. We won't get our dresses for another 2 hours anyway. We entered Victoria's Secret and went to the lingerie section.

Izzy found us both matching lingerie for under our dresses. Izzy and I got a matching bra and panty set, hers is baby blue with gold lace and mine is baby blue with silver lace. We went to the section with the perfume. We got a lot of different stuff and after we got everything we wanted, the total blew my mind. $2,350.23. After we went to all of the stores we spent $14,175.23. We went back to the dress shop and got our dresses. We got everything in my truck and headed back to the pack house.

We got to the pack house and headed onto the 4th floor to my room so we could get ready for the party there later.

When we get everything in my room Xay texts me to meet him in his room. I tell Iz that I will be back in a minute. As I walk to Xays room I am going through my thoughts on what he wants to talk about. I am at his door and I knock on the door. “Come in Liz,” he says after I knock. I walk into his room and he is sitting on his couch on his phone texting someone with a megawatt smile plastered on his face. “Who are you texting?” I have a feeling he found his mate but I won't push him to tell me, he will tell me when he is ready. “Noone just some girl I met yesterday. So I need to ask you something.” I notice the shift in his tone and expression. He got all serious real quick. “What’s up, bro? You don’t usually act like this.”

I just want to ask about your mate.” I didn’t think he cared but I guess I was wrong.

“Ummm, sure what's up? What's your question and before you ask, no I haven’t met him yet.”

“Oh, um, I was wondering what you wanted to do about the alpha title. I want to share it with you but I have a feeling that he is or will be an alpha. I just wanted to see what you were thinking about it all. We can talk to dad about it but I kinda want it to be just us talking about it.”

What did I want to do? I want to be alpha with my brother but I also just want to be a good mate and I don't know what to do. I either share the title with Xavier and end up regretting it or I let him take the title alone and regret it. Either way, I don’t care whatever he wants I guess. “ Whatever you want bro. Either way, I will go with your decision. I don’t want to be without you but I want you to have your freedom.”

“I mean I would love to have the title alone but I also don’t want to do it without you. I know I might not show it all the time, but I do love you, sis. I have a feeling that your mate will be an alpha so I think I should take the title alone. I don’t know yet.” He says. I can tell he is speaking the truth.

“I don’t know Xay. I think the same as you about my mate being an alpha. So, take the title. I’ll be okay, bro. No matter what bro, I love you!” I agree with him.

“I love you, too sis.” He said with tears in his eyes. Great, now I'm crying. I love him and all but it’s bullshit that he can make me cry by him crying. This is all a lot to think about in one day. I need to ask him what he thinks about my mate and who he could be.

“Hey, Xay? I have a question for you and I don’t know what you are going to think about it. Honestly, I'm scared you will hate me.”

“Lizzy I could never hate you. What's wrong? Why do you look so upset and scared? It can’t be that bad that you can’t talk to me about it. Is it?”

“No. I guess it isn’t that bad, I just don’t want you mad at me, that's all.”

“Again, I won’t be mad. At the most, I will be disappointed. Now tell me what’s wrong.”

“Nothing is wrong. I just wanted to see how you would feel if my mate was Jake. And what you would say, to said, mate when and if I find him.”

“Well, I mean, I will be happy for you both, but at the same time, I would be pissed because I don’t want Jake to hurt you. I know how he is. He likes to play girls, I don’t want that for you. Why do you think I told all my friends and teammates to not approach you in that way? And if it is Jake, I can’t promise I won’t kick the s**t out of him. ” He explains.

I am livid. He knows that I can handle myself, and what does he do? He goes to every good-looking male and tells them to stay away from me. That d**k head.

“What do you mean by ‘that way’? Like as a s****l partner or a boyfriend?”

“Both. I don’t want you to get hurt. I am sorry you think that I am trying to control your dating life but I'm not. I'm trying to control all the horny ass males we go to school with Liz. I love you but I made a promise to dad that I would look after you in that department.” This was dad's idea. If he thinks this is a joke he is mistaken.

“Are you f*****g kidding me Xay! If dad didn’t ask you to do it. I.WILL. KILL. YOU. IN. YOUR. SLEEP!” Okay. I guess I should have been nicer to my brother but he needs to understand I don’t need help controlling horny males. I need to ask dad if this is true. I will after this talk.

“Xay just so you know. I don’t need your ‘help’ with guys. I can handle myself ok?”

“Yeah, Liz. Ok. I'll back off a little bit but not the whole way, yet. Show me you can handle yourself then I will completely stop.” I just rolled my eyes at him, agreed, and left to go talk to my dad. On my way to my bedroom to tell Izzy, I have to talk to my dad I mind link him.

Hey dad? I ask questionly

What’s up babygirl? Why do you sound upset? Is it a boy, do you want me to kill him? He asked question after question. I didn’t even have time to argue with him.

No dad, I'm fine. I was just talking to Xay, and he told me something I wasn’t expecting. Are you in your office? I need to talk to you about it.

Yeah. I'm in my upstairs office. Do I need to get your mom in here too?

Nope. Just me and you. See you in a minute. Love you dad.

I love you too sweetie. I hope Xay was lying when he said dad told him to protect me from guys.

I make it to dad's office and before I can knock he yells come in. I open the door and he is laying on the couch reading a book. I go over to sit with him. He moves so he is sitting up right and I'm sitting beside him.

“So, Liz, What’s up? What did your dumbass brother tell you that has you so rattled? If its something serious I will kick his ass.” He is so sweet but he doesnt need to hurt his own son for me.

“No dad, you don’t have to hurt Xay. I was talking to him about my mate, and no I didn’t find him. I was just wondering what Xay wanted to do when we found our mates because I am technically the rightful heir to the title. Then I asked what he would think if it was Jake because I have always had a crush on him. He said that he would be happy but pissed at the same time. He said he couldn’t promise not to punch him.-”

“That's my boy, apperintly I tought him well.” He says with a smile after interupting.

“Really dad? I'm not done talking. So as I was saying, He said that all Jake does is play girls and asked why I thought he told all his friends to not pursue me as a girlfriend. I said he shouldn’t try and crontroll my love life but he said it was all your idea. So dad is that true. Did you tell xay to keep all guys away from me?” I asked him with tears in my eyes.

“Yeah, Liz. It's true. I just don’t want to see you hurt.” Who does he think he is? Telling me who I can and can't be with.

“Who do you think you are dad? You can't just tell me whol I can and can't love or date. I love you and all but I'm not some fragile little girl anymore.”

Yes I know that Liz. I love you too babygirl.”

“So stop treating me like it. I love you daddy!” I say and we hug and both of us start to cry. I say goodbye and head back to my room to get everything I bought put away and get my dress ready for tonight.

The 1st floor has the living room, kitchen, dining room, ballroom, offices, and guest bedrooms.

The 2nd floor is the gamma’s floor.

The 3rd floor is the beta’s floor

The 4th floor is the alpha’s floor.

Xavier's POV:

Well, Lizzy, Jake, and I turn 18 today. I hope we find our mates. I think I found my mate but I don’t know for sure. I haven't seen her yet today. I have a feeling that Lizzy’s mate will be an alpha from another pack. Lizzy wants me to take the alpha title and then if her mate isn’t an alpha from any pack we can arrange where they want to stay.

I want her to share the title with me because she is my sister. It's not fair. She just is being generous because I am her brother. With me being the only son she thinks I should take the title.

Jacob's POV:

It’s my birthday. I keep getting this pull towards White Shadow’s pack house. I think my mate is Lizzy. I have had a crush on her since I met her back in 2012. She is so beautiful. She only wears clothes that hug her curves. The way she wears her hair. It's either in curls, straight, or in a messy bun. She is an absolute angel. Xavier made me promise to never pursue her, he doesn't want it to ruin our friendship. So, out of kindness in my heart, I said that I would never date her.

I have a big football game today. We are facing our rivals. The Olympus Orangutans. I don't know why the strange name, but whatever. We have the upper hand because it's in our home stadium. On our turf.

Lizzy's POV:

I keep on having this same feeling that I want to go to Jake's pack. I have this feeling that my mate lives there. What if it is Jake!! I would be so happy if he was my mate. My brother forbids it though. He thinks that it will ruin his friendship with Jake. I don't care though. It's not his life to control, it's MINE.

I was lying in bed when my phone started to ring. My favorite guy friend was calling me, Jake.

I picked up the phone and asked, " Hey Jakey. What do you need?"

" I want you to meet me at the edge of your pack borders."

"Why?" I asked. He was starting to freak me out.

" I just have some things to discuss with you. That's all." I could tell he had his smartass smirk on.

"Ok, I'll be there in 5."

I quickly got dressed and was on my way out the door when my brother stops me. "Where are you going?"

" I am meeting up with a friend. I'll be back in an hour."

"Well, that's funny because I could've sworn you were talking to Jake a few minutes ago." He said with a smirk. I gasped.

FUCK... I'm busted.

"Well, I was talking to Jake. Then, a friend texted me and wants to meet up at the mall."

He just rolled his eyes and walked away.

*****5 minutes later*****

I finally made it to the edge of the pack. I didn't see Jake anywhere. Then out of the blue, this intoxicating scent hit me like I was going 90 mph into a brick wall. It smelled of Oakwood and Fresh Sea Water. Then I saw Jake. My wolf, Luna, was scratching to get to the surface. She finally beat me and yelled 'MATE'!

Jake's wolf, Justin, did the same.

He ran over to me and slammed his lips on mine.

It felt so nice with his lips on mine. When I'm in his arms it feels so good.

FUCK WHAT IS XAVIER DOING TO SAY!!!!!!??????
