Introducing Me

My name is Alexis Soares, I'm 15 years old and I'm Portuguese. I was born premature but uncommonly strong for the size I was. I had a lot of hair which was dark and curly, except for some strands at the front which were white blond( yeah I look kinda like Anna from Frozen). I was also born with one light brown eye and one green eye. However, as I got older these weird features disappeared and I was left with light brown hair and light brown eyes.

I live with my two parents and my older brother whose name is Alexandre, yes you guessed it my parents love names with A.

My father is an air traffic controller/former marine and my mom is a teacher. I gotta admit we are privileged, but if you think our lives are perfect you are very very wrong.

Since I've been little my father as been sent away in missions, which really f*** him up mentally, and it was really hard on my mom to raise 2 kids alone. We thought it had stopped when I was 10, but he was sent away one last time when I was 11 and by that time my mom was holding on by a thread. He eventually came back on the day of my 12th birthday.

I had a great childhood up until I had to go to the 5th grade and change schools to a private high school. All my friends were going to the nearby public school, including my one and only best friend, but not me: I was sent to a private school in which the only person I knew was my brother. But that was, and I was about to find out for myself, the least of my problems in that ratchet hellhole.

It was then that my whole perfectly happy life was going to change A LOT and I didn't even knew it...

-"Alexis come help make dinner NOW! I have called you 2 TIMES ALREADY! if you don't hurry up you will get GROUNDED!"

My father "gently" called me out of my trance as I'm writing in the notebook my psychologist gave me to write in order to 'heal and make peace with my past'. I used to think that this whole 'therapy' thing was a load of bullshit and I HATED the thought of opening up to a total stranger, but I actually think that maybe it does help a little, I guess we'll see won't we?
