Coles p.o.v.
We found out that we aren't human by chance. I work at a nightclub called The Blue Dragon where your typical nightclub stuff happens. Although I'm 17, the club staff are very protective of me and treat me like their own. Rock is one of the bouncers that watches out for me when I'm out serving drinks. One night I get a call from Ash, "Cole I see colors. Come get me, please." she slurs into the phone. "Ash I warned you about drinking a lot at a party. I'm on my way. Just stay put and safe." I get to my locker to change and get my keys, " Hey Rock, I've got to get my very drunk sister from a party." "Alright Cole just stay safe." he says sincerely.
Racing down the road on my all black motorcycle, I get to where the party is being held and it's just like how I imagined it to be like. People pouring out of the front door drunk, music thumping inside the house, and the alcohol still flowing in. I have to push through crowds of drunk teenagers to get to Ash, who is passed out on a chair. "Great now I have to carry you out of here and keep you stable on my bike." I sigh. I put my arm under her shoulder and lifted her out of the chair. "Need some help little lady." a drunk boy about 6 foot towers above us. "No thanks, we're good." I say as I walk past him but he reaches out to grab me. With a tight grip only arm he yanks me back into his chest. Rock insisted that I learn self-defense and I'm so grateful for him making me learn some moves. As I'm in the hold, I rear my head up into his face and break his nose in the process. Then I grab his forearms and flip him over my shoulders. He ends up sprawled on the floor with a broken nose and bruised back. All I can sense is a sweet smell coming from the guy's face. Ignoring the urge to see more blood spill from his body, I pick Ash back up from the ground and tie her to my bike to go back home.
