Being king was nothing. It didn't add anything to you, it didn't earn you respect and make you more loved. What came with being a leader were hatred, fake love, burden, criticism and in most cases, more chances of being hurt or getting killed. There were lands that were honourable to rule, pleasurable and desirable.
