When Erick got a mind-link from Janice’s mate, Lesner, saying that she was about to shift he suddenly sprung into action and I was a little confused as to why. I understood that it was a big thing, but when he said that we had to be there I was even more confused.
“Why do we have to be there? Is there a ritual or something you have to do for the first shift?” I asked, curious as to what our roles would be.
“No, there’s no ritual, but shifting for the first time is a big deal and she is now a member of our pack, she is family now and we all have to be there to help her through it. It's just how our pack works, especially if something goes wrong.” Erick replied, but that just gave me more questions.
