The Captain left with sacks full of sweet potatoes, replenishing a supply of food that was delayed due to the previous ambushes. Him and his troops were given the best food and shelter within the village that night. The Mystic Flames afforded them every bit of courtesy as one army would with their allies.
But Janus had something in store for them when they left.
The Stingers knew that Janus and his men were taming Boars, Cockatrices and Sabercats from the forest. But what they didn't know is their relations with the Frilled Basilisks. These creatures provided a unique utility to the cavalry, and therefore were designated to the special ops division, for Skeeter and his Whiskers.
There was not much for them to do at the moment. Until this opportunity came.
