Chapter Nineteen As Nicora turned to leave, Tevera leaped up, twisted free from Yverras’s hand on her shoulder, and dashed to the door. She stood in front of it, blocking her great-grandmother’s path. “No!” Tevera shouted. “Now, I will be heard!” Her cousins Estra and Levit took a step toward her, scowling, but Nicora said, “Hold,” and they stopped and stepped back.
