It's been a while since I've seen Elias so angry, and even Sally was shocked by the way he has spoken to her. I get that her question was a bit out of hand, and even though I was angry at the fact that she thought Elias should have chosen Ryland instead, I kept my anger to myself, which was a first.
But Elias's outburst is one way to say that I won't be doing anything to be on the receiving end of it. No, I wasn't scared of him, but he was much more powerful than I, so it was best to tread carefully around him.
