George drove Emily and Kate to Emily's house, the three of them chatting and laughing in the car. When they arrived, George pulled up to the front door and turned off the engine. "Thanks for the ride, George," Emily said, getting out of the car. "No problem, happy to help," George replied, smiling. Kate also got out of the car and stretched her arms. "I'm so tired," she said, yawning. Emily nodded in agreement. "Me too, let's get inside." George watched as Emily and Kate walked up to the front door, then drove off as they entered the house. Emily and Kate burst through the front door, still chatting and laughing. They didn't even bother to take off their shoes or undress, they were so tired. They jumped onto Emily's bed, bouncing up and down on the mattress. "This was the best night ever!" Kate exclaimed. Emily nodded, already starting to drift off to sleep. "Definitely," she agreed. Within minutes, they were both fast asleep, exhausted from their night out. The next morning, Emily's alarm rang at 6:30 am. She groggily reached over to turn it off, then sat up in bed. Kate was still fast asleep beside her. Emily smiled, remembering the fun they had the night before. She gently shook Kate awake. "Hey, wake up," she said. Kate slowly opened her eyes and then sat up in bed. "What time is it?" she asked. "6:30," Emily replied. Kate yawned. "I'm so tired," she said. Emily nodded. "Me too, let's get some breakfast." They both got out of bed and stumbled to the kitchen, still in their clothes from the night before. Emily and Kate slowly made their way to the kitchen, still trying to shake off the sleep. Emily opened the fridge and pulled out a couple of hangover drinks, which they both desperately needed after the previous night's festivities. "Ah, thank god for these," Kate said, taking a drink from Emily. They both quickly headed to the bathroom to brush their teeth, still in their clothes from the night before. After brushing their teeth, they returned to the kitchen and cracked open the hangover drinks. They both took a long swig, feeling the cool liquid soothe their parched throats. "Ah, that hits the spot," Emily said, sighing in relief. Kate nodded in agreement. "Definitely." With their hangover drinks in hand, they began to prepare breakfast. Emily scrambled some eggs while Kate toasted some bread. They worked in comfortable silence, still trying to wake up. As they cooked, they occasionally exchanged sleepy smiles and yawns. Despite their tiredness, they were both still on a high from the previous night's fun. Once breakfast was ready, they sat down at the table and dug in, savouring the delicious food and each other's company. As they ate, they started to feel more awake and alert, ready to take on the day ahead. As they finished eating breakfast, they prepared coffee since it was their daily routine to drink coffee before preparing for work. As they sat on the kitchen table, sipping their coffee and eating their breakfast, Emily and Kate started discussing Max. Emily couldn't help but gush about how she felt when she first saw him. "I swear, Kate, I fell for him the moment I saw him," Emily said, her eyes sparkling. "He was just standing there, smiling at me, and I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I couldn't breathe." Kate laughed. "That's so cute," she said. "I knew you two would hit it off. You were practically glowing when you were talking to him." Emily blushed. "I know, I felt like I was on cloud nine. And the way he looked at me... it was like he could see right through to my soul." Kate nodded enthusiastically. "I know exactly what you mean. He has this way of making you feel like you're the only person in the world." Emily nodded vigorously. "Exactly! And his smile... oh my gosh, his smile is just incredible." Kate grinned mischievously. "I think you might be in trouble, Em. You're already head over heels for him." Emily giggled. "I know, I can't help it. I feel like I've known him my whole life." Kate smiled. "I'm so happy for you, Em. You deserve someone like Max." Emily smiled back, feeling grateful for her friend's support. "Thanks, Kate. I'm excited to see where things go with him." "I just pray things work out well for you guys" Seriously I pray" she smiled. "But Max is a very handsome guy I was surprised when he kissed you and you kissed him back" she laughed. "Stop stop and stop exaggerating, he only pegged me on the cheek and I did the same" she said. "I know, I know, but still, it's so cute!" Kate said, laughing. "I'm just happy to see you so happy, Em. You deserve it." Emily smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart. "Thanks, Kate. I'm really happy too. And I have to say, I'm loving the way Max makes me feel. He's just so charming." Kate nodded enthusiastically. "I know, right? He's got that whole 'tall, dark, and handsome' thing going on. Plus, he's got a great personality to match." Emily giggled. "Definitely. I feel like I can talk to him about anything." Kate smiled. "That's so important in a relationship. You two seem like you click." Emily nodded. "We do. And I have to say, I'm loving the way he looks at me. It's like he sees me, you know?" Kate nodded. "I know exactly what you mean. He's got this way of making you feel like you're the only person in the world." Emily smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's support. "Thanks, Kate. I'm excited to see where things go with him." "I just pray things work out well for you guys," Kate said seriously. "I pray too," Emily replied. "But for now, let's just enjoy the moment and see where things go." Kate nodded. "Absolutely. And hey, even if things don't work out with Max, you know I'll always be here for you." Emily smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's support. "Thanks, Kate. That means a lot to me." Emily said. After finishing their breakfast and coffee, Emily and Kate started getting ready for work. Emily chose a professional-looking blouse and skirt, while Kate opted for a stylish pantsuit. They both did their hair and makeup, making sure they looked polished and professional. Once they were both ready, they met up in the living room to grab their bags and head out the door. "Okay, I'm ready," Emily said, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "Me too," Kate replied, checking her watch. "We should get going. We don't want to be late for work." They both headed out the door and walked to their cars, which were parked in the driveway. Emily got into her car and started the engine, while Kate got into hers and did the same. They both backed out of the driveway and headed off to work, waving goodbye to each other as they went their separate ways. As they drove to work, When they arrived at work, they both got out of their cars and headed into the building.
