I couldn’t help but roll my eyes before I turned my head back forward. I didn’t allow Samuel to see any fidgeting as I nervously followed beside him. He never made any attempt to speak on the way home, so I didn’t engage either. I withheld the sigh as we had finally made it outside my apartment building. “Well thank you for walking me, have a good evening.” I never looked at Samuel when I spoke but turned toward the door to walk into the lobby. “I told you I wanted to speak with you.” Samuel followed me in through the building and up the stairs.
