Chapter 9

After the “rogue” thing Nina had to take Raff to the hospital. It was eleven in the evening, and I was exhausted from the day. Me and Derek had confessed we were mates to Nina, and she wasn’t happy about that. I was scared for a moment right before we got the call for a rogue being on our lands. Now that Nina knew me and Derek would probably move into the same room.For now our rooms were right next to each other, and we walked in and out of both of them as we pleased. I went up to the top floor, and went to take a shower in Derek’s room. I preferred his room over my own. It smelled like him, and I could wear his clothes when I wanted. The shower was nice and relaxing compared to the day I had. I was mad when I had heard Derek was going out with Nina alone. Jealousy overcame me, and I insisted I go. I sighed as the hot water poured down on me washing away the events of the day. I was in there for a good 20 minutes before I decided to get out. I opened the door to find a shirtless Derek rummaging through the closet. My eyes instantly went black with lust. We had had s*x a few times, but we never marked one another out of fear for Nina seeing it. Suddenly I realized he can mark me now, and I can mark him too. My eyes went to his neck as he stood up, and turned around to face me.

“What?” he asks innocently which makes a wicked smile come to my face. I walk closer to him slowly loosening my hold on my towel. As I get closer I see his eyes darken. I knew that soon there would be no stopping us. I finally reach him. By the time I do we are both already breathing heavy, and his eyes are black with lust as well. I move so our faces are inches apart, and stare at him for a few seconds taking in his beauty. I slowly move the hand holding my towel to hold his face as I kiss him passionately. I feel him respond to the kiss with a fiery passion that just makes me want him more. My body responds to his with absoluteness. He moves us to the bed taking off his pants as we go. By the time we reach the bed he is in his boxers. I lay down on the bed while he removes his boxers before sitting on my lap and kissing me again. My whole body is on fire leaving a trail wherever he touches he slowly begins to kiss lower making my back arch in response to his touch. I feel him smile against my stomach loving the way he makes me feel. When he reaches my groin I let out a low moan electricity shooting through me as my back arched again. He slowly began moving his head up and down gaining momentum. I let out a louder moan than I expected as he suddenly stopped. His sudden stop made me whimper in response at the cold absence he left. He looked at me with an evil smirk on his face saying he was about to leave. He loved to get me started then just stop.

Not today! I screamed to myself. Today we were celebrating coming out to Nina. I used a lot of my strength to grab him, and throw him on the bed careful not to hurt him. When I quickly began to pleasure him. Moving my head up and down slowly at first, then more quickly. I heard him let out a moan as I quickened my pace. I felt his hands grab my hair and squeeze pumping up and down to help me. When I stopped he was close to his climax when I flipped him over onto his stomach as he got onto all fours, and I entered him. Moving slowly again I slowly quickened my pace hearing a moan come from him he was building to a climax. I quickened my pace going faster until I heard his moan reach a high point. I felt a moan leave my lips. I stopped flipping him over, and began kissing him again. I moved down from his mouth to where my mark would soon be, and breathed in his scent before I let my canines sink in. He stifled a scream at first, but then the scream turned into a moan. I retracted my canines, and began licking the wounds. His arms came around me, and I felt his head rest on my neck breathing in my scent. He kissed me once before doing the same to me. The pain shot through my body like ice. I sucked in a sharp breath of air before the pleasure filled my body in waves. I let out a low moan moving my head to the side for more access as he licked the newly formed mark. I sighed in content having my mate so close to me. He stopped licking the mark when he heard me sigh, and slowly left a trail of kisses all over. I began to chuckle at the heightened feeling it gave me when He flipped me over, and entered me. He was pumping back and forth fast and hard. I began moaning uncontrollably when I felt the build up.

“Derek” I moaned out. I felt him quicken his pace “f**k!” I yelled feeling it come. “Derek!” I gasped out trying to tell him I was about to c*m. “Derek” I yelled one last time before I felt both mine and him c*m at the same time. Him while inside me still. I sighed with content when I felt him pull out also satisfied. We both lay on the bed exhausted just wrapped in each others arms. I closed my eyes, and began to drift off to sleep when I hear a phone ring. We both looked at each other in annoyance before Derek reached to answer. I quickly grabbed his arm to stop him, but he was faster than me.

“Hello?” His annoyed voice rang like music to my ears. When I thought that I saw him smirk. Suddenly I saw his face go blank. That always means something bad has happened.

“What, what happened?” I whisper quietly so as to not disturb the call. He looks at me out of the side of his eye before responding.

“Okay, thank you. We are on our way.” He said over the phone before looking me full on in the face. “Get dressed now. Nina is in the hospital. She collapsed while talking to Raff. She is unconscious right now.” My eyes only got bigger as he spoke. I felt my wolf whimper at the thought of Nina being hurt. I quickly got out of the bed to get dressed as did Derek. I threw on a pair of jeans with a grey t-shirt. While Derek put on a sexy black v-neck, and some tight jeans that showed off his body. Okay maybe not to others but to me it definitely looked that way. When he got dressed he smelled my arousal, and turned around. “What” he inquired when he saw my eyes were black. “Oh no, Nina needs us remember?” When he said this it snapped me out of my haze, and I went to put shoes on. I chose a grey and white pair of tennis shoes while Derek chose just a black pair. We raced through the house opting for the stairs rather than the elevator (yes the house had an elevator). When we got to the garage we randomly chose a pair of keys from the key rack that had about 50 sets of keys on it, and clicked the clicker to find thew car it belonged to. They belonged to a dark blue 2017 corvette with white racing stripes. Normally we would have taken either mine or Derek’s cars, but this was faster as our cars are kept separate. Everything seemed to pass by in slow motion. As the car moved on I saw trees pass by endlessly till we reached the city, then it was buildings endlessly. It only took a ten minutes or so to reach the hospital, but it felt like an eternity with all the thoughts running through my head.

What happened to cause her to faint? She is the strongest alpha I know of how could she faint. Was it stress? Was it us? Did Derek and I have something to do with this? How could we even be considered friends if we did this to our best friend? We should have been there for her more. Helped her more done something, anything more! My rampant thoughts came to a halt when I felt a hand on mine. I looked over to see Derek giving me worried glances while focusing on the road. I remembered that we had just completed the mating ritual, and realized he knew everything I felt. I felt bad for my mate having to know all of these feelings I have. All the dark emotions, so I closed him off. Not completely just so he didn’t have to feel the bad. While I did this I squeezed his hand, and gave him a reassuring smile.

“I’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me.” I said while squeezing his hand. I see him hesitate sifting through my emotions to see if I was lying. When he was satisfied he gave a short nod never letting go of my hand. I knew he was in turmoil too, but I was unsure how to comfort him. Derek was always the strong one. The one we leaned on when we needed to. He rarely ever gets upset. I knew how much Nina meant to him. We all grew up together, but they were born knowing each other.I only met them when I was 4. Plus Nina and I weren’t very close for a while. I was unsure about her due to her shy demeanor, but Derek pushed us to talk to one another. We have been friends ever since. I recalled the memory as I looked out the window at the passing city.

***Flashback***

Derek and I were running through the halls of the pack house. He was my first friend here, but he was always around this awkward girl. I usually just ignored her, and she did the same to me. Her name was Nina I think, supposedly she is the Alpha’s daughter. Either way I didn’t like her. She hogged all of Derek’s attention when she was around, and he kept trying to get us to talk.While we were running down the hall playing tad Nina comes out of a room crying, and bumps right into me. I Hold her to make sure she doesn’t fall over, but I can’t hide my annoyance.

“Watch where you’re going Nina.” I sighed ignoring the tears. At this time Derek catches up to me, and sees Nina crying.

“Nina, Nina what happened, what’s wrong.” He asks the sniffling girl. All she does is run behind him pointing to a man in a bedroom. The man was bent over pulling up his pants looking annoyed.

“Nina. You can’t run from me. We have been through this. Nobody can save you.” He says with a sinister look on his face.Stepping to the door he sees the scene before him, and a wicked smirk crosses his face. “Oh so you brought company have you? Well I don’t mind a few extra guests at the party.” Crouching down getting ready for a fight I heard a strong growl come from behind me. All of our shocked faces turn to see Nina crouched about to lunge at the man.

“Uncle whatever you do to me i don’t care, but if you drag them into this I will fight you.” His monstrous laugh filled the hall as he swiftly reached past both me and Derek, and grabbed her by the hair lifting her off the ground. He scream rang through the hall.

“Listen well MUTT” He spat the word with venom. “You can fight all you want, but I will still get what I want.” He threw her in the room, and that is when I lunged. I was overcome with rage to see someone be treated that way. I don’t remember anything after that except waking up in the pack hospital. I had killed him, and when the Alpha found out he was enraged beyond belief at what his brother had been doing. We don’t speak of that, but after that I realized that Nina is quiet because she thinks it can protect others. She went through that for three years, and never told anyone. She didn’t speak about herself for three years to protect people, now she just has trouble speaking to people.

***End Flashback***

I snapped out of my haze to see we had arrived at the hospital. I nearly jumped out of my seat, and ran to the door, but Derek was still holding my hand. That was the only thing that had kept me from losing my mind this whole time. I let Derek do the talking when we got inside. The staff directed us to the second floor to the Alpha suit. That is a room in the hospital reserved for only the Alpha of the pack should they ever need to be in a hospital. We open the door, and when I walk in I see Nina lying there on a bed unconscious with tubes coming out her arms, and monitors stuck to her chest. I wanted to take her place instantly.
