My father had a grave and solemn expression on his face. Because my eyelids were so heavy, it was nearly impossible for me to even open one of them. "Ah, my poor baby!" echoed my mother's sobs. My father responded gently, "Thank you, sir." As if he didn't have enough trouble communicating to begin with. So you're in a coma that's been medically induced? After all, it is one alternative. It's possible that I won't have the same awful headache I did when I first awakened. But, on the other hand, may it be the point? Forcing me into a coma in order to protect my brain from additional damage? Because I'm not a professional, I can't say for sure. I'm just hoping that they'll be able to assist me. "As for therapeutic options," the doctor said, "it's up to you as her parents to determine whether or not to continue to assist her if she doesn't really recover rapidly or comes over with no brain waves." Over a spectrum of all the worst second weeks ever, my week in Local and local was up there among the best of them all.
