I dash over to the fantastic slide that had been the talk of the neighborhood since this morning. Another female had climbed up ahead of me, and she was going at a snail's pace. Climbing faster than that would be impossible for even a tortoise. I hiss, irritated. As she reaches the top of the slides' steps, the girl returns my stare, her hands visibly trembling. "Please don't hiss at me!" " She screams, her saliva splattering on my face. "Maybe climb quicker next time," I hiss back even louder, pushing her slightly away from the slide as she sits on it. I slipped through to the ground with my tongue out and her eyes wide with surprise. What would self - determination mean if I couldn't end up wasting time with family and friends? We arrive to the playgrounds, and I suffocate my melancholy thoughts. There were a lot of youngsters around today. The opening day of the week-long fair had arrived. "I'd prefer not get in the way of your grandparents' efforts to raise you. But I believe you will mature into a remarkable and self-sufficient lady.
