"Hey!"
"Hey Kevin. How may I help you?", Ryx asked trying not to show how uncomfortable he is around Kevin.
"I just wanted to know if you are free for a hangout after work.", He asked and Ryx furrowed his brows.
"But our colleagues are not staying back to hangout today.", He said quite confused or were they planning late dinner without informing him or Asher.
"Where is Asher when i need him the most? At least with him here, I won't feel so uncomfortable and scared."
"Yes I know, it will just be the both of us.", He asked as if it was nothing.
"Just the two of us? Like a date?", Ryx fired at him trying not to be angry.
"Yes let's get to know each other better as friends of course.", He added.
"I'm not interested, sorry. I'm not a fag.", He fired shooting deadly glares at him but Kevin wasn't fazed at the slightest.
"But don't you and Asher go out all the time just the both of you alone? Why don't you just go out with me? Just a night and I assure you, you will come running for more.", He said as he started to move closer to Ryx.
Just before Ryx could talk, Asher beat him to it and Ryx has never been more proud of his over protective best friend.
"Don't you have any work to do Kennedy?"
"It's Kevin.", He replied with a gritted teeth.
It was so annoying that he couldn't just even have a moment with Ryx without his stupid best friend interrupting or clinging to him like a dog.
"I wouldn't care less, Kenneth.", He said obviously trying to rile Kevin and it was definitely working seeing the way he was clenching and unclenching his fist.
"I will see you around Ryx.", He said and walked away.
"What's his problem anyway?", Asher wondered.
"Be careful with that guy, I don't trust him Ry. Make sure you are not alone with him, he gives me a weird vibe that I don't like.", Asher warned and Ryx nodded.
"Guys gather around, we have a new colleague and she going to be here for just a short period of time, watching how things are done and managed here. Do well to treat her well and share your knowledge.", The manager said as he pointed to the blonde lady standing behind him.
Ryx and Asher froze as they stared at the blonde girl standing right in front of them.
The girl seemed a bit surprised but her gaze didn't stay on them for long as she looked around to access everyone.
Ryx turned to look at Asher but his gaze was fixed on her.
"Kindly introduce yourself and let everyone do the same.", The manager suggested and she nodded.
"My name is Ashley and I'm 29 years old, I hope I learn something from you guys and thank you for having me.", She said with that her sweet voice that made Asher's stomach turn.
She was still the pretty girl he knew and was more prettier and sexier.
He was still checking her out until he was nudged by someone and that great someone turned out to be Ryx.
"It's your turn.", Ryx said and his eyes widened in surprise.
He has been watching her this whole time that he didn't realize that they were introducing themselves.
"Hmm... My name is Asher and I'm single.", He said and everyone laughed except from Ashley and Ryx who hid his face from his best friend embarrassing self.
"So much for having a dumb best friend like you.", Ryx whispered but Asher wasn't really paying attention.
His love was back.... His first love, the person he had ever truly loved was back.
"I will do anything to make you mine away, I won't let you go this time.", He said determined with a smirk and Ryx just shook his head with a sigh.
"Don't you think this is fate? I have been single since we broke up and now she will be working here with us.", Ash said.
"At least you will stop playing around, I won't be surprised if you a carriers of STDs.", Ryx said.
"You are just exaggerating."
"If you really want to win her over, then you show her that you are no longer the man you were, you are more matured and the perfect choice.", Ryx advised.
"Now that's when you come in.", Ash said with a big smile on his face.
"No .... I'm not helping you with this, you should do this on your own.", Ryx said.
"You know you are the one I love the most I'm this world."
"Not gonna work."
"Please Ash needs your help .... Pretty please.", He said pouting.
"No you always do this everytime and I always give in, I won't help you this time. This is your battle.", Ryx said firmly.
Nothing is going to make him change his mind, he can't keep letting Ash get his way with him. That asshole knows that he's his weakness and he uses it to his advantage but not this time!!!!!
