Dominic’s face remained calm, his tone even. “I’m sorry for your loss, but that was done by the previous Alpha. I’m different. I’ll amend his mistakes.”
“You’ll amend nothing!” Justin roared. “Your pack committed the crime. I’ll die before I let my daughter marry into your cursed bloodline!”
Dominic slowly uncrossed his legs and leaned forward, his piercing gaze locking onto Justin’s. “My apologies,” he said quietly. “I should have made my offer more clear.”
Rising to his feet, Dominic walked straight toward Bella. She froze as his hand reached up, his fingers brushing against her cheek. The touch made her skin crawl.
“Once I marry your daughter,” Dominic said smoothly, “I’ll protect her and your pack. No one will touch you as long as she’s mine.”
Bella stiffened, disgust flashing across her face. “Is this an offer, or an order? Or a threat?”
“An offer, of course,” Dominic replied with a faint smile.
Without warning, he pulled her closer against his chest. His grip was firm, possessive. “But no one says no to my offer.”
Bella’s chin lifted defiantly. “That sounds like a threat to me.” she said.
He leaned closer, his breath brushing her ear. “Only if you’re scared. Are you scared?”
Her father’s voice cut in, sharp and full of rage. “And what if I say no?”
Dominic turned his head slowly, his eyes blazing with fury as he stared at Justin. “You don’t want to find out.”
Before Justin could reply, Bella pushed against Dominic’s chest and snapped, “I’ll never marry you! I already found my mate, and I’m engaged to him.”
Dominic’s jaw clenched. “Call off the engagement. You chose the wrong man. I am your only mate.”
Just then, the door burst open and a man rushed into the room…
“That’s my fiancée, you bastard!” Harrison shouted the moment he rushed into the room.
Alpha Dominic’s men reacted instantly. One of them kicked Harrison’s legs out from under, forcing Harrison to the ground, while another pinned Harrison’s arms.
“No! Harrison!” Bella cried, her voice breaking as she tried to run to him.
Before she could reach him, Dominic yanked her back, pulling her into his body pressing her tighter on his body. His eyes burned as he looked down at Harrison struggling against his men.
“Remember this,” Dominic said coldly, his voice like steel. “Because next time, I won’t use words. Bella Walker belongs to me.”
“I belong to no one but myself!” Bella snapped, jerking out of his grip.
Dominic smirked faintly, adjusting his suit with slow precision. “Well, I’ll be on my way now,” he said smoothly. His gaze lingered on her, dark and possessive. “But I’ll see you soon… my future Luna.”
With that, he turned and left with his men, the heavy door closing behind them.
Bella rushed to Harrison’s side, kneeling beside him as she helped him sit up. Her hands trembled as she held his arm. “Harrison, are you okay?”
He winced, brushing dirt off his clothes as he got to his feet with her help. “What the hell just happened?” he demanded, confusion and anger flashing in his eyes.
Bella tightened her grip on his hand, her voice low and pleading. “Harrison, please believe me. I had no idea he was the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack when I saved him a few days ago.”
“When I saved him, he told me that he was my mate, and I thought he was crazy. But then he comes here today…” Bella’s voice trailed off, her eyes filled with worry.
Harrison’s whole body shook. “Alpha Dominic is your mate?”
Bella gripped his hand tighter, her voice steady. “I don’t care about it. I choose you. And no one can change that.”
Alpha Justin stepped forward, his expression serious. “You two… you need to get married soon. We have no time to waste. Once Harrison marks you, Dominic must back down.”
Justin’s beta frowned. “What if Dominic flips out and declares war on us?”
Justin shook his head firmly. “Dominic is an Alpha, and an Alpha will never declare war over a woman.”
Harrison turned to Bella, his eyes soft yet desperate. “What do you say, Bella? Marry me now. I promise I’ll protect you and cherish you forever.”
Bella felt her chest tighten. Tears filled her eyes as she threw her arms around him. “Yes… of course. I trust you.”
Later that day, Bella walked through the pack hospital where she worked as a healer. She had just finished attending to her last patient and was heading down the hallway.
Turning the corner, she nearly collided with someone. Her breath caught as she looked up, and froze.
It was Dominic.
Her heart pounded as he stepped closer, his tall frame towering over her.
“What are you doing here?” Bella asked, her voice sharp, though her hands trembled slightly.
He smirked, his gaze never leaving hers. “I came to see you… my Luna.”
Dominic leaned down slowly, his lips inching closer to kiss her.
Bella pushed him away, her voice trembling with rage. “I’m not your Luna and I will never be! Your pack killed my mother. I’d rather be dead than marry you.”
Dominic’s eyes flickered, but his tone stayed calm. “I’m sorry for your loss, but you can’t blame me for something done by the previous Alpha. I’m not like him.” He tilted his head slightly, his voice softer but still commanding. “Come with me. I have a surprise for you.”
Bella folded her arms. “I’m busy. I have patients to take care of.”
Before she could turn, Dominic scooped her up effortlessly. “You’ll thank me later,” he murmured, carrying her away.
Minutes later, he set her down onto a luxurious couch in his private quarters.
Bella shot up, her voice sharp. “Who do you think you are?”
Dominic bent slowly toward her, his gaze locking with hers. For the first time, she felt a flicker of fear. He looked like he wanted to kiss her, but before she could move, he pulled her up from the couch, making her stand in front of him.
“Are you ready for your surprise?” he asked, a strange glint in his eyes.
He walked to the far wall and pulled aside a heavy curtain, revealing a massive portrait. It was Bella, a photograph she had never shared with anyone.
She gasped, stepping back. “How did you get this? I’ve never shared it with anyone!”
Dominic’s eyes softened as he turned back to her. “We’re mates, Bella. Whatever our souls are made of, we are one. I know you better than anyone ever will. And soon… you will know too.”
Bella shoved him hard. “You need to stop this. I’ll never be yours!”
She darted toward the door, but he caught her arm and spun her back, pinning her against the wall.
“The Blue Moon pack is the strongest pack in the world,” Dominic said, his voice low and dangerous. “Be my Luna, and everything I have, money, power, fame, will be yours.”
Bella glared at him, her voice sharp as steel. “You may have money, power, and fame, but when it comes to love, you’re nothing but pathetic. I don’t love you and I never will.”
Dominic pressed her harder against the wall, his breath rough. “I’m offering you a chance to love me,” he growled. “We’re destined to be together.”
“Stop fighting it!” he suddenly shouted, his eyes glowing. “I’m gonna make you now, you’re mine.”
Bella panicked as he bent toward her neck.
“Don’t, or I’ll report you to the council,” she warned, her voice trembling.
Dominic lifted his gaze to hers, a dangerous smirk tugging at his lips. “You’re looking at the soon-to-be head of that council.”
Her eyes widened in shock, but before she could protest further, he began unbuttoning the collar of her shirt, slow and deliberate.
His nose brushed against her skin, inhaling her scent deeply.
“You’re aroused,” he murmured. “I can smell it.”
Bella stiffened in horror as his lips hovered dangerously close to her neck, ready to sink his mark into her flesh. Tears welled in her eyes, and when they fell, the drops landed against his skin. He froze.
