When he got back to his house, there was a message for him from his former girlfriend, Marcia. He was, apparently, invited to an early dinner at her house this evening. He had just enough time to shower and get dressed in dry clothes, plus he’d make time for a drink as well. Marcia, and Dudley, plus three and one half, or three and eight-ninths, children. Terrific. He downed his drink and considered another, then passed and left. He’d have given anything to have Ned along with him, or, as a last resort, his brother d**k.
