Sacrifice(Thor x reader x Loki)

"Sacrifice and love are parallels. Sometimes it brings happiness and sometimes sadness."

Synopsis : It takes place during Infinity War. What if Thor and (y/n) gets to the soul stone before Thanos ? (Y/n) has a special mind reading ability apart from being Loki's lover and an Asgardian warrior. She could read anyone's mind. But Loki kept it at bay. But now, that he's dead, her ability is out of control. She heard Gamora's thoughts about the soul stone's location. And she and Thor find it. There the reader finds out by reading Thor's thoughts that she is his most loved possession. And she sacrifices herself for Thor to get the soul stone.

"You will never be a God."

"Nooo!!!!" (Y/n) let out a scream. So did Thor but a muffled one. Tears streaming down her face. She struggled against the people who held her back but couldn't break free. If she was freed, she would have killed Thanos. That's for sure. Through her tear blurred vision, all she saw was red. She wanted revenge, on Thanos. For killing her lover.

And then it started. She could hear the thoughts of others. Loki's magic had faded. The shield in her mind was broken. Her telepathic powers were uncontrollable. Again. It was her curse. She had a special mind, the ability to hear other's thoughts, throughout her life. But Loki had been able to keep the effects of the curse at bay.

So, it didn't surprise her when she read Thanos' mind. For the first time her ability proved to be something more than a t*****e to her.

'Now that I have the space stone, the souls stone is the next. Gamora, I think it's time to pay you a visit.'

As Thanos left the spaceship, Thor and (y/n) scrambled towards Loki's unmoving body and cradled it.

The Guardians of the Galaxy, found Thor and (y/n).

"It's like a pirate had a baby with an angel." Drax said about Thor.

"Oh, and she looks just like a Goddess." Peter said about (y/n).

Gradually, Thor and (y/n) woke up from their unconsciousness. And as they were introduced to the Guardians of the Galaxy, a certain red haired female caught (y/n)'s attention.

Thanos' words echoed in her mind. She narrowed her eyes as she observed Gamora. If Gamora knows where the soul stone is, then (y/n) would read her mind and along with Thor, she would find it. Before Thanos.

And she albeit got the opportunity when Gamora wanted to tell Peter Quill about the soul stone. Though Gamora didn't tell Peter, she did think of the location. And that's when (y/n) came to know about the soul stone's location.

After that, Thor, (y/n), Rocket Raccoon and Groot started their own journey. Thor wanted to go to the realm of Nidavellir, where he hoped the dwarves who created Mjolnir will be able to forge a new hammer for him capable of taking down the Mad Titan Thanos. But before that, (y/n) took them to Vormir.

"Thanks Gamora. Now, I'll have my revenge on you, Thanos." She mumbled as they made their way to the soul world.

"Did you say something, (y/n)?" Thor asked.

"Thor, this location. The soul stone is located here, in this planet. And we need to find it before Thanos."

"You don't need to tell me that, (y/n). I have enough rage for revenge in me. I wouldn't let that Mad Titan go unpunished for what he did."

And with that, they made their way to the Soul Stone, Rocket Raccoon and Groot following behind.

But when they reached the place, the keeper of the soul stone took the four of them to a cliff and there he told them, "Soul holds a special place among the Infinity Stones. You might say it has a certain wisdom."

"Tell us what it needs." (Y/n) spoke up.

"To ensure that whoever possesses it... understands its power... the stone demands a sacrifice." The keeper continued.

"Of what?" Thor asked.

" In order to take the stone,you must lose that which you love."

'(y/n)....'

(Y/n) was shocked when she read Thor's mind.

"A soul... for a soul." The keeper stated.

"Thor..." She started but the look that Thor gave her, it was full of horror.

"You..you read my mind, didn't you?" He asked terrified.

"Look, Thor, I know that it's difficult. What I'm going to ask you is hard for you but try to understand. Please. Because-"

"No. I am not willing to lose the only person I have left whom I love." He shouted. He held her shoulders and pulled her into a hug.

"I... I can't lose you, (y/n). Not after I have lost everyone."

"Oh Thor..." She let her hands wander on Thor's broad back, rubbing to soothe him, to calm him down.

"(Y/n), I had taken the pain of seeing you with my brother when I loved you beyond measure. It was okay with me because you were happy. But this... I can't let this happen. I won't let it happen."

"Thor...just listen to me. The person I loved the most, Loki... He is already dead. So I can't sacrifice my beloved thing. But if you let me sacrifice myself, then you would have the soul stone. And you can stop Thanos then."

Thor's grip on her tightened. No... He can't let this happen. He won't lose her.

"Thor...it's not only for our revenge. It's to save the Universe. To save Midgard. Because it won't be long that Thanos goes after Midgard. Having the Soul Stone and being reunited with the Avengers, you will stop Thanos. Promise me, Thor. That you won't let Loki and my sacrifice go to vain. Promise me."

Thor burried his head in her shoulder, his tears wetting her dress. His jaws clenched tightly, his eyes shut closed. He held onto her tightly, fearing that if he let's go, then she would disappear.

"Besides, there's nothing for me to be alive for... Loki... I loved him... And he died. I would be able to meet him again if I sacrifice myself and we'll possess the soul stone too."

"No! We can make a new start. You and me. Albeit Loki can never be forgotten. He will always be in our hearts but we can still make a new beginning."

"Thor, look at me." (Y/n) pulled away just a bit to stare at Thor's electric blue eyes. The eyes that always had observed her every move with adoration. She smiled sadly and wiped away the tears that fell from his eyes.

"Warriors never cry. Remember?"

That's what Thor had told her before, when they were children. And now she is telling him those same words.

"The hardest choices require the strongest will." She said, hoping he would understand. Hoping that he would think rationally.

He opened his mouth to say something when she pressed her lips on his. Thor was shocked. He didn't expect her to kiss him. At all.

"I am Groot."

"You find that cute? And I think that it's..." Rocket Raccoon paused.

And then (Y/n) took a step back and pulled away from Thor. She let the gravity pull her downwards as she fell from the cliff. They were standing on the edge of the cliff and due to the sudden kiss, Thor had let his grip on her loosen. He let his guard down. And lost her.

"A trick." Rocket Raccoon finished.

"Nooo!" Thor wailed as he extended his arm towards her falling body. He was about to jump after her when,

'No, Thor. You have to keep your promise. Take our revenge on Thanos.'

'I don't care about our revenge, I love you (Y/n). I love you.'

'If you do, then you'll take our revenge. And yeah, Thor, I love you too.'

And with that she cut off their connection. But as she closed her eyes, 'Loki, we will be together again.'

And then she hit the ground. A pool of blood surrounded her.

"Nooo! (Y/n)!!!" Thor fell on his knees, his hands pressed to the ground, forming tight fists. Two drops of salty water fell on the ground below him. And then fresh new tears streamed down his face.

He should have known this. Should have known that (Y/n) would do this. She was used to making sacrifices for others. And when she started loving Loki, and stayed by his side till his death, Thor knew that it was in her nature- sacrifice that is. Loving Loki was never an easy task and Thor knew it better. So, he should have expected that if the situation demands, (Y/n) won't hesitate to sacrifice herself for others. Then, why does this hurt so much?

Because he loved her. And that's why he will have their revenge. He will show Thanos that the sacrifice of Loki and (Y/n) didn't go to vain.

And when he opened his eyes and looked up, they had fire of revenge burning in them. The familiar spark of thunder had returned. Now, he had the soul stone. He just needed a new hammer and then he's coming. For Thanos. To defeat Thanos and have his revenge.
