15 I’M A SURVIVOR I pay for an Uber again today. At one point, I pick up my phone to call Jo about my car, and then stop myself. Am I playing the helpless female? That’s why Jo likes you so much. You are a lonely crip she can manipulate. And didn’t I make it easy for her? I ignored the signs, after all. I can’t lay all the blame on her. I was so enamored that I was willing to go along with anything, apparently. With this unsettling revelation bouncing around my head, I walk into Jenny’s office.
