I’d given up the apartment. I still had it, but I decided that I wanted to live on campus to be as close as I could to Penelope. Something had happened to her the night that she was kidnapped. Something that had caused her to run away, and to seek solace in the arms of someone who wasn’t me. She was looking for protection, not romance, all I needed to do was to figure out why.
I had a room to myself, because I was supposed to share with my security guard. But Jasper was no longer at the school. He’d been in search of Orion Spires, determined to bring him back so that I could bring him to justice.
