“Turn on the news,” Chris excitedly demanded as he rushed deeper into the main hall.
When no one appeared to be listening to him, he grabbed the remote and pushed the power button. The screen blared noise throughout the hall.
Everyone else wasn’t paying attention to the television because they assumed he wanted to watch a sports game or some other silly program.
“Turn that down. We’re trying to talk over here,” one of the members shouted.
Chris ignored him hoping to finally confirm rumors he heard while off the sovereign lands.
After a few minutes, the news scroll flashed the headline: KEKOA AKA PRESIDENT OF THE SOVEREIGN HAWAIIAN NATION ARRESTED.
