Chapter 3. Cooking For Riley

Felix woke up to the feeling of someone on his bed. He opened his eyes to Tiffany and Stephen on his bed. Tiffany was closer to him "Big brother, when are we meeting big sis?" Felix leaned over to ruffle their hair "I'll ask her. Then you can see her tomorrow or the day after". Tiffany and Stephen glanced at each other before getting off the bed to prepare for their school.

Felix grabbed his phone from the bedside table and texted Riley 'Are you free? Let's go out'. He waited a while before she texted back 'Sure. I'm bored anyways'. He replied with an emoji before getting dressed and going downstairs. He met Anastasia in the kitchen with a few of the maids, trying to figure out what to make. "Morning, mum" he greeted. She turned to him with a warm hug "Hey, baby. Good morning. How was your night?" He nodded with a 'good' before taking her hands in his "I have a favour to ask". Ann studied him "Is it for Riley?" Felix nodded "I want to borrow the kitchen and make some things for her". Ann smiled "Okay, but don't burn yourself". Felix nodded. Ann called the chief maid "Help him out and pre-order new kitchen utensils". Felix rolled his eyes "I'm not going to burn anything so leave".

Ann turned away murmuring something about how Felix resembles his dad. After Felix denied her access to the kitchen twice, she resolved to watching him through the CCTV camera. Felix didn't know what she liked but settled on some dishes she posted on i********:. He confirmed the ingredients before he finally started cooking.

After Felix was done with the dishes, he packed them up. Lasagna with extra cheese toppings was packed in a medium sized flask. Royal sandwiches in two similar containers. Pancakes with strawberry jam in a cute kiddies flask and egg noodles in a special flask. Once done with that, he poured orange juice into two bottle flasks and packed everything in a picnic bag. When he moved to clean up, Ann walked in. "No need to do that, Flora will clean it up. Riley must be waiting". Felix nodded at his mum and moved to exit the kitchen. He stopped by the door "Oh, there's leftovers in the microwave. Try them and tell me how it tastes please".

Riley was dressed in a black jean and her favorite white hoodie. Her hair was let down as always with a white bow holding it in place. She sat on a bench near the park where Felix met with her. She wasn't there for long before she sighted Felix walking up to her. He wore a black hoodie similar to hers but larger, paired with blue jeans and white sneakers. She stood up and walked to him "hey".

Felix smiled at her "Hey, I made us lunch but I don't know if you'd like it". She pulled him to sit down on a blanket she had spread under a cherry blossom tree. As Felix brought out the dishes, she gasped "Wait, this is kinda too much". She picked up the lasagna flask "You made it the way I liked it". Felix grinned "It's actually my first time cooking so i don't know how it'll taste".

She looked at the delicacy. It looked perfect and the aroma was also perfect. She picked up a fork and took a bite. "Hmm" a satisfied moan escaped her lips. She ate a few more bites before glancing at Felix "This is so good". Felix chuckled as he took a bite. Indeed it was really good. The cheese melted and the taste of his mom's chicken spice was evident. He grabbed another container to reveal the sandwiches and pancakes. She ate all of it with joy and drank the juice.

When she thought she couldn't take another bite, Felix pulled out a pretty black flask with his name on it. 'probably custom made' The sight of her favourite egg noodles was the final straw that brought Riley to tears. "No one's ever made egg noodles for me. Thanks so much". Felix wiped her tears with the sleeve of his hoodie "I'll make it for you anytime you want. Just say the word". Riley sniffled as she chopped down the noodles "It's really good. You're the best". She offered him part of it but he shook his head "I'm more satisfied with watching you eat". Riley shook her head "No, you made it and you'll join me or I won't eat it". He chuckled at her cuteness. Apparently, Riley becomes extra cute and sleepy whenever she eats too much food or sweets. He smiled softly "If I eat it then you owe me a favour". Riley nodded "Okay. C'mon, join me". He chuckled "Okay".

After eating, Riley suggest they walk around the park. it aids digestion' she exclaimed. Riley was really full and couldn't walk well causing her to stagger as she tried to balance herself. Felix snorted silently. She looked like an adorable stuffed doll. He squatted in front of her "Come on, I'll carry you". Riley turned away "No! I'll get fat if I don't walk out the food". Felix didn't let her continue as he pulled her unto his back and continued around the park. She ended up falling asleep on his back with Felix having to take her home. Her placed her on her bed in her room and tucked her in before leaving for his own home.
