When I woke up, I found myself in a luxurious penthouse overlooking the city.

The stranger from last night stood by the window.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"You fainted," he said calmly. "I brought you somewhere safe."

The kindness in his voice nearly broke me.

"What?"

"Marry me instead."

"It sounds like we can help each other."

I should have refused.

I should have called him crazy.

But when I thought about Ethan and Vanessa celebrating my pain, anger burned through me.

"What do I get out of this?" I asked.
