THERESA It didn’t take long to get home. As soon as I kicked off my boots, I made my way into the kitchen. I was starving. Tasha had my lunch ready in no time. Boneless, skinless chicken breast, rice, and broccoli. I choked it down. It’s not that it was bad (Tasha did at least know how to make even the blandest food palatable), but—gosh—what I wouldn’t do for some fried chicken instead. That was one nice thing about being away at school. There was no one to monitor what I ate.
