Elena couldn’t stop thinking about the vision or the strange powers she had discovered. Each night, she returned to the woods to test her abilities. She practiced moving objects with her mind and, eventually, dared to take to the skies. Flying was both terrifying and exhilarating—a freedom she had never known.

But as exciting as her powers were, they came with questions she couldn’t answer. Why had the crystal chosen her? And what did her vision mean?

Her answers came sooner than she expected. One afternoon, dark clouds gathered over Lumina, and the city was soon engulfed in a ferocious storm. Elena’s vision played out before her eyes: Clara was on the bridge, trapped as it began to collapse under the weight of the raging winds.

Fear clutched at her, but she knew she couldn’t stand by. Summoning her courage, Elena soared into the storm, her heart pounding. Rain lashed against her face as she reached the bridge.

“Hold on!” Elena shouted, her voice barely audible over the howling wind.

Clara’s eyes widened in shock. “Elena? How—how are you flying?”

“No time to explain!” Elena yelled back. Using her telekinesis, she steadied the bridge long enough to pull Clara to safety.

When they were both safe, Clara broke into tears. “You saved me. After everything I’ve said to you... why?”

“Because everyone deserves a second chance,” Elena said, her voice soft but firm. “Just try to be kinder.”

The storm passed, but the moment lingered. From that day forward, Clara was not just a classmate but a friend.
