Odella rushed to the Bale villa upon learning that Braud was there. She hailed a cab to reach the destination quickly. He had to see his brother before leaving town again! She needed to understand why he had chosen to flee and leave all the responsibilities to her.
She hurriedly exited the taxi.
"Miss, your payment!" the driver shouted just as she was about to dash away from the vehicle.
Odella awkwardly retrieved her wallet from her bag and slung it over her shoulder. Her urgency to enter the villa had almost caused her to forget the payment.
"Here," she said, handing over the fare, then continued her hasty journey, pushing the main door open.
Aunt Aurelia, currently wiping down the leather couch in the main room, frowned upon seeing Odella. Her expression grew even more annoyed
