Blood seeped through. Damien was by my side even before I could blink. He grabbed my hand and stared at the wound with tucked brows, clearly agitated. “Why don’t you listen ?” he hissed, pulling me up and guiding me to the sofa. “I told you repeatedly not to touch the broken pieces.” He did? How come I didn’t hear him? “Don’t move.” He instructed as he walked towards the shelf. He reached for the first aid kit, returned, and began cleaning my wound. “You look like you’ve done this a couple of times.” I pointed out, attempting to start a conversation and take my mind off the fact that I just broke someone’s office décor.
