“I thought it was supposed to be girls' night out?” She asked, walking after me as I made my way upstairs.
“I thought we were celebrating my new office?” I queried, halting to glance at her. “What’s the big deal with my brother coming? I thought you liked him?”
“Not anymore.” She deadpanned and my brows jumped in surprise. “I know tonight is all about you Clara and I respect that, but I did not expect to deal with his obnoxious ass today.”
“Obnoxious?” I chuckled. Xavier is anything but obnoxious. “What happened between you two?”
Lyra scoffed. “Nothing worth recounting.” Clicking her teeth, she sighed, “Fine, I’ll go get ready.”
I watched her retreat until she disappeared into her bedroom. Chuckling, I shook my head with amusement before dragging my feet to my room.
