Suddenly, Clara grinned and the lid of the box popped. She lifted it up and looked down, expecting to see more jewellery but she was disappointed. There was nothing there but a load of old parchment. Some of the bits were tightly scrolled and tied with ribbon, the rest were just lying there. The girls looked sullenly between the papers and each other, totally underwhelmed. Clara pulled a few out; they were all exactly the same. What could possibly be the value of identical bits of parchment? Wondering if they were some kind of spell scroll she'd not encountered, Angel ran her hands over them but failed to detect any traces of magic.
