Chapter Five: Soul mates and Love

841 Words
It didn't take long for Radames to find out where Safiya was at. He received a mysterious invitation, all it had was a seal he recognized as the Goddess Bastet's symbol. Inside was an address, a date and time... Safiya was busy writing, she had spent over two years writing down her lives, into stories. Eventually she sold them and they were published as fantasy stories, and whenever people asked her where her ideas came from, she would smile and say her dreams. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the full truth either. But that didn't matter Safiya had become a very wealthy twenty-year-old. She had been waiting for Radames to find her, there were things she needed to do and figure out regarding him and her feelings. The day came when Safiya was at home in her mansion writing another story, a story of her time in the underworld with Anubis. She was in the middle of it when her doorbell rang. She let out a long sigh as one of her assistants Aaron interrupted her. “Safiya there is a guy here to see you. He didn't say what he wanted, he just said he was an old friend. Should I let him in?” Aaron asks. Safiya looks at him annoyed, “Fine bring him in here. I just need to finish my thought while I still have it.” She waved him away and went back to typing while he left to go get the stranger. Safiya could hear the footsteps getting closer as she continued writing. When the door open and then closed she didn't even look up. “I'll be with you momentarily, I'm in the middle of something.” She says as she finished typing down her thought. The man responds quietly, “Take your time.” After finishing, Safiya looks up at the stranger, she immediately knows who he is. After all she remembered everything, and she knew that this stranger wasn't a stranger, it was Radames. He had finally found her, now here he was standing in front of her and she had no idea how she felt about it. She was still in love with him but there was something more than those feelings inside her. There was anger. He had repeatedly betrayed her, and yet here he stood as if he had done nothing wrong. Confident that she would just swoon and take him back without question. Radames looked at Safiya, and he smiled at her. “I had a feeling when I got the invitation that it was going to lead me to you.” He says. Safiya raised an eyebrow, “What invitation?” “The one from the Goddess Bastet, she sent me an invitation with a time place and address. Nothing else. I had a feeling she was leading me to you.” Radames explains. “You mean to tell me that my mother invited you here and didn't tell me. Figures.” Safiya says with a small smile of annoyance. Radames was a bit taken back, “When you say your mother, do you really mean?” Safiya nods, “Yes she is my mother, by blood in this life.” S Safiya stopped before she gave to much away, if he knew too much, she wouldn't be able to do what was needed. “But even that won't save me from my fate, I only have a year left, then it's back to the underworld for me.” Safiya says quietly. It was very convincing Radames let out a sigh, “I'm sorry it took me so long to find you. I had no idea where to look, and they had all made it sound like you wouldn't die anymore so I thought I had time to find you.” Safiya shook her head, “This is our fate you know this. Destined to have a few years together and then many years apart. That's the lives we were given.” Radames didn't know what to say, he was quiet for a few moments. Then he spoke, “Well can I share the time you have with you?” Safiya looked at him this was what she needed, “Of course you can, I've been waiting for you to find me. After all life isn't really life without you in it.” She smiled at him and she realized he was completely fooled by her words... They spend months together and then her other soul mate appeared, so she spent time with them both. It was clear that they both had spent time around each other, and they both were more than happy to share their time with her as they as they got time. This time was different, there was no love making between her and Radames, or her and Aiden. She remained a virgin and she had her reasons. Finally, the time was coming close, it was days before her twenty-first birthday and she began to carry out her plan.
